Kopparnäs-Störsvik

Uusimaa 02580, Finland

Kopparnäs-Störsvik is a uniquely large, seaside area located on the border of Inkoo and Siuntio. Here, you will find stunning rocky coastlines, beautiful archipelago nature and landscapes. There is multiple cozy and well-kept grilling huts free to use. (firewood is also provided by the park)

Högbackens outdoor trails

Located in Siuntio between Hotel Siuntio and Lake Tjusträsk, Högbacken offers a peaceful network of short nature trails through forest and wetland areas. Trails like the Hazel Trail, Spring Trail, and Sunshine Trail provide short scenic walks, viewpoints, and cozy spots to relax, making it a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Finnish nature. There is also cozy and well-kept grilling huts free to use.

Sjundby Castle

The medieval Sjundby Castle, built in the 1560s, was inhabited by noble families and their royal guests. Guided tours of the castle are available.

Suitia castle

The history of the majestic Suitia castle and manor dates back at least to the 15th century. Guided tours of the castle are available.

Fanjunkars

During his life, Aleksis Kivi, Finland’s national author, lived in many places. Fanjunkars is one of them. This is where he wrote his magnum opus Seitsemän veljestä (The Seven Brothers).

Suomenlinna

Helsinki, Uusimaa 00190, Finland

Suomenlinna, originally known as Sveaborg, is a sea fortress built from 1748 onwards on a group of islands off Helsinki. Commissioned by the Swedish Crown to defend against Russian expansion, the fortress was designed by Admiral Augustin Ehrensvärd and adapted from French military architect Vauban's principles to suit the Baltic's unique geography. Following Finland's independence in 1917, the fortress was renamed Suomenlinna, meaning "Castle of Finland." It served various military purposes through the 20th century, including during the Finnish Civil War, World War II, and the Cold War.

Siuntion Pyhän Pietarin kirkko - Siuntio St. Peter’s Church

St. Peter’s Church was built around 1480–1485, incorporating an earlier chapel dedicated to St. Peter. Over the centuries, it has withstood fire, war, and rebuilding, yet remains a central place of worship for the community. Its medieval stone walls, vault paintings, and historic furnishings reflect both Catholic origins and Lutheran heritage. For more than 500 years, the church has stood as a symbol of faith and continuity in Siuntio.

Lohjan Pyhän Laurin kirkko - Lohja Church of St. Lawrence

The Church of St. Lawrence is the 3rd largest medieval church in Finland. The church is first mentioned in written documents in the year 1382. The rich medieval paintings inside on the church vaults and walls, dating back to the early 16th century, make St. Lawrence’s one of the most significant medieval monuments.

Temppeliaukion kirkko

Temppeliaukio Church, is a Lutheran church located in the Töölö district of Helsinki, Finland. Designed by architect brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, it was completed in 1969. The church is renowned for its unique design, as it is carved directly into solid rock, giving it a raw, natural aesthetic. The interior features exposed rock walls and a copper dome with 180 skylights that allow natural light to illuminate the space.

Helsingin tuomiokirkko

Helsinki Cathedral, originally named St. Nicholas Church, was designed by architect Carl Ludvig Engel as part of the neoclassical Senate Square ensemble. Construction began in 1830 and was completed in 1852. The cathedral was dedicated to Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, who was also the Grand Duke of Finland at the time. Following Finland's independence in 1917, the church was renamed Suurkirkko (Grand Church), and in 1959, it became known as Helsingin tuomiokirkko (Helsinki Cathedral) after the establishment of the Diocese of Helsinki.

Pyhän Mikaelin kirkko - St. Michael's Church

St. Michael’s Church, built in 1890, is a neo-Gothic Lutheran church located in Kirkkonummi. Known for its striking architectural style and serene interior, the church has served as a central place of worship for the local community for over a century. Its historic design and preserved features make it an important cultural and religious landmark in the region.

Uspenskin katedraali

Uspenski Cathedral, completed in 1868, is the largest Eastern Orthodox church in Western Europe. Designed by Russian architect Alexey Gornostaev, it reflects traditional Russian Byzantine architecture, with its red-brick exterior and distinctive golden onion domes. The cathedral is dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos (the Virgin Mary) and symbolizes the historical influence of Russia in Finland during the 19th century.

Senaatintori

Senaatintori, or Senate Square, is the historic heart of Helsinki, designed in the early 19th century by German architect Carl Ludvig Engel. It is surrounded by landmark neoclassical buildings, including Helsinki Cathedral, the Government Palace, the University of Helsinki’s main building, and the National Library of Finland. The square has long been a center of political, religious, and academic life in the city and remains a major gathering place for events, celebrations, and public demonstrations.
