Travel Note
The City of Armadale is located in the southeastern suburbs of Western Australia, about 28 kilometres (17.4 miles) southeast of Perth’s CBD. It’s part of the beautiful Perth Hills region, a collection of suburbs spread across the scenic Darling Scarp. Whether it’s fruit picking or wine tasting, the Perth Hills are a vibrant and creative spot to explore. If you’re planning to stay nearby for the wedding, there’s so much to see and do in the Perth Hills! Just keep in mind that if you’re booking accommodation further from Armadale, the area is currently undergoing some major roadworks and railway upgrades. Public transport is available, and driving is usually easy, but these works might cause some delays—so it’s a good idea to plan ahead for a stress-free trip.
Train
The Armadale and Thornlie Lines are currently closed until mid 2025 for the METRONET upgrade and extension. During this time, there are no trains running between Armadale, Thornlie and Victoria Park, but trains are still operating between Victoria Park and Perth. Since we don’t yet have a confirmed reopening date, we recommend using the Transperth website or app to plan your trip, or exploring alternative transport options.
