Officiant
Andrew and Ellen met Lauren when they were all working together at Wayfair. Lauren has been there since the very beginning. She has watched Andrew and Ellen grow as a couple and they are so thrilled to have her officiating the wedding. No one knows them better as individuals and as a team. On the wedding day you will find Lauren quietly fixing design elements, happily sipping on a cocktail, and laughing a little too hard with her amazing husband Rick.
Good Girl
What can we say about our favorite girl? Piper is the life force of our household. She knows exactly how to cheer us up on a hard day. She always has us laughing, but she also knows when someone needs a nice big hug. On the wedding day you can find Piper showing off her spin move on the dance floor with her nieces Aubrey and Lilian, politely asking for free food from her Grandad Phil (knowing full well he will feed her) and running circles around the property to make sure everyone is safe and sound.
Maid of Honor
Mae is Ellen's best friend and confidant of over 10 years. Mae and Ellen met at orientation week of college and have been on the same wave length ever since. They have lived together several times so Mae is very familiar with the complexities of loving a Suttle woman. Mae has been a core part of Ellen's life, but has also become a part of the Suttle family. She is the perfect person for the Maed of Honor role! On the wedding day, you can find Mae introducing herself to anyone and everyone!! But don't be surprised if you find Mae and Piper having a quick hang out in a quiet corner somewhere.
Best Man
Andrew and Standish met and became close friends at Hobart College, they were both brothers in Delta Chi fraternity, and spent many days there endlessly laughing, sharing adventures, playing board games, making claymation, and bonding over a deep shared love of the TV show ‘Scrubs’. On the wedding day, you will likely find Standish alongside his now wife, Carrie also a Hobart and William Smith Alum and close friend of Andrew. The two of them will likely be not far from their eldest son and our handsome ring bearer, Emerson. (not a typo, its just as solid a first name as it is a last one)
Bridesmaid
Emily is Ellen's amazing big sister. As the matriarch of the sisters, Emily often sets the pace for the level of humor, excitement and fun. She is the heartbeat of all conversations, and a joy to celebrate with. Emily lives in DC working hard to better our world through her activism and personal health & fitness coaching. On the wedding day, you will find Emily performing countless ABBA songs with choreographed dances. As well as egging on her brother in law Grant to do embarrassing things.
Bridesmaid
Hannah may be Ellen's "little" sister, but don't let that fool you. In the last year Hannah has gotten married to her best friend of 7+ years and they are expecting their first little one in June 2022. Growing up in a family of 3 sisters, Hannah learned how to hold her own and has grown up to be one of Ellen's biggest mentors to look up to but is still one of her favorite idiots to have a laugh with. On the wedding day, you will find Hannah juggling a new baby, a fresh mocktail, and probably an entire tray of appetizers. She did the whole bride thing, now its her turn to be a guest and try all of the fun food. You will also find her chasing her Husband Grant around to make sure he's still got his pants on.... im joking (kind of)
Bridesmaid
Abigail is Andrew's big sister. She is everything and more when it comes to a sister in life and in law. Abby and Andrew grew up the best of friends, always conquering the world together and laughing at as much as possible along the way. On the wedding day, you will find Abigail smiling nonstop... she may look like shes in pain but we promise its just some EPIC happiness. You will also find Abby dancing with her awesome husband Kevin and their two daughters Aubrey and Lilian.
Bridesmaid
Madeleine is Ellen’s youngest cousin. She is traveling all the way from London, England to be a part of the big day. Growing up oceans apart never stopped Ellen and Mads from being close. Madeleine lives in her amazing new flat with her lovely boyfriend Joe. On the wedding day, you will probably find Madeleine trying to stop her dad Dave and his brother Phil (father of the bride) from doing some kind of embarrassing performance. You will also find Madeleine a few drinks later likely being at the center of that performance.
Groomsman
Kevin is Andrew’s brother in law, married to his sister Abigail. Before Andrew met Grant, Kevin was his OG source of “brotherhood” and boy has it been a good one. Kevin and Andrew have bonded, talking late into the night about all things stocks/finance, science, and their future business concept for the guacamole food truck they so thoughtfully named !!!GUAC AND ROLL!!!. Kevin has been the ideal BRO- LO and example of a good husband. On the wedding day, you will find Kevin making new friends, playing games and pretending not to be too competitive (but really he needs to win that cornhole game), and having a night to remember with his three favorite girls Abby, Aubrey and Lilian.
Groomsman
Grant is the newest member of the Suttle family. However, having been with Ellen’s sister Hannah for 7+ years and just tying the knot in October, hes practically an old member. Over the years Grant has shown Andrew the ropes of being with a Suttle lady and these two guys have grown quite close. They lovingly refer to each other as “back seat buddies”. I’ll let you ask them about that at the wedding. On the wedding day, you will find Grant bending over backwards to make sure everyone has everything they need. Grant always puts everyone before himself and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. Once his new sisters in law (Emily and Ellen) have managed to get him to drink enough Aperol Spritzs’, you will find Grant dancing the night away.
Groomsman
Ben and Andrew have been friends since 7th grade. Ben is the first friend Andrew made here on the east coast. He's been there for him ever since. As young kids growing up together, Ben and Andrew shared a deep love for the outdoors, from pretending to be comic book characters out on Ben's giant rope swing(long before the movies came out), to fishing trips with Ben's local legend of fisherman father, all the way to camping together not far from the wedding venue itself. On the wedding day, you'll likely to find Ben potentially scaling buildings or trees on property either in the pursuit of service to his friends, or for the simple joy of it. Otherwise on the ground he'll be chatting up a storm with anyone he meets and likely debating the veracity of the latest Marvel movie.
Groomsman
Andrew and Vinny met during highschool, finding a great camaraderie in their shared passion for art, from drawing and graphics all the way to the woodshop. Vinny and Andrew have made a mountain of things over the years and still love discussing what new craft or project has brought them the most joy recently. On the wedding day, you can expect to find Vinny not far from his now wife Laura, also a close friend to Andrew from high school. Vinny and Laura were high school sweethearts, they'll likely be lighting up whosever face they're talking with. Making you feel like family as soon as you start gabbing.
Bridesmaid
Carrie is the wife of Standish (the best man). Carrie and Standish were the first friends of Andrew’s that Ellen met and on day 1 of knowing each other they all shared a hotel room. They welcomed her into their life with open arms regardless of Ellen’s snoring. Carrie and Ellen hit it off so quickly, bonding over a late night session of Bridget Jones’ Diary and their love for people of all shapes, colors, and sizes. On the wedding day you will find Carrie dancing with her sons Emerson and Lachlan as well as bouncing around from conversation to conversation. If you are looking to make a new friend, look no further than our cheerful Carrie!
Groomsman
Russ is one of Andrew's closest friends from high school. Russ and Andrew have spent an unreasonable amount of time together, the Viola's essentially adopting Andrew as an additional child. Probably, collectively months of Andrew's life were spent playing Halo in Russ' basement, they did theatre together both in 'Romeo and Juliet' and '10 Things i hate about you' Russ was Heath Ledger's character, whereas Andrew got the role of a nerd he shoves or something... (Russ also kind of looks like heath ledger which was tough for the rest of us during high school) On the wedding day, you can find him likely telling beautiful, wonderful, likely loud stories and full belly laughs booming from his joyeous voice.
Ring Bearer
Emerson is the son of best man Standish and his wife Carrie. Emerson is an amazing 4 year old (going on 5!) who loves all things trucks and automobiles. If you have time to talk garbage trucks or cranes with Emerson, well that would just make his day. His favorite colors are yellow and pink. On the wedding day, you will find Emerson playing with his friends, the flower girls: Aubrey and Lilian. You will also likely see him running around the property with his dad Standish and adventuring as much as he can.
Flower Girl
Aubrey is the oldest of Andrews nieces and she will be 6 years old! Aubrey is an awesome person who loves to make new friends, learn all kinds of new things and practice her art work. Aubrey is a big fan of Disney movies, but Frozen takes the cake. On the wedding day, you will find Aubrey showing her little sister Lilian all kinds of new dance moves, chatting away with her grandparents Tia and Nate, and of course having a blast with her mom and dad, Abby and Kevin
Flower Girl
Lilian is the youngest of Andrew’s nieces. She will be 4 years old, but she already seems so much older and wiser. Lilian follows the lead of her amazing older sister Aubrey, but she also has a mind of her own. She’s very sure of herself in the best ways possible. She has a mind for science and engineering and loves to learn anything new Aubrey can teach her. On the wedding day, you will find Lilian entertaining herself with her incredible imagination or dancing the night away with her sister . If she needs a break from all the chaos, you will find her having a relaxing time with her Gramps who she loves to pieces.
Mother of the Bride
Ellen’s mom Ruth is an endless force of will and hard work. She has raised three strong women. All three may be grown up, but still to this day value her input on every decision they make. From a young age she instilled the importance that a life well lived is full of celebration and appreciation. Dancing and singing in the kitchen while cleaning up dishes, playing our childish games, welcoming our friends into her home as equals, and always putting everyone before herself. Ruth has shown us that life is meant for taking in those small moments and never letting them pass by. On the wedding day, you will find Ruth looking blissfully happy at the life she has helped build for her family. She will be floating about the dance floor, and taking in this amazing milestone.
Mother of the Groom
Terri is Andrew's mom. A mother that filled their home with endless support, laughter, and love. She has spent their lives sharing with him, music, comedy, a boundless love for the outdoors and unmatched, and endless grit to accomplish whatever life throws at you. On the wedding day, you will likely find her laughing till she cries, sporting a headband while she shreds up the dance floor, and grabbing a gin and tonic with her new daughter in law.
Father of the Bride
Ellens dad Phil is also celebrating having accomplished two weddings in two years, but if you ask him hes just happy to have offloaded 2 out of 3 girls. Now onto the last one! Jokes aside, Phil is a loving dad of three strong women, all of whom are proud to say they grew up with a dad like Phil. On the wedding day, you will find Phil at the very center of the dance floor. He may not look it at first glance, but this man is the life of the party and you should probably come prepared.
Father of the Groom
Nathan is Andrew’s father. A man that created a home he kept safe, happy, and its occupants well cared for. He showed him the majesty of nature and the endless wisdom it provides, the wealth to be found in relying on ones own capabilities, and that true happiness is to be found in taking care of the ones you love. On the wedding day, you will likely find him teaching his grand-daughters about whatever plant or animals have crossed their paths, delighting and sharing in the restorative properties of the outdoors, or enjoying the Rosé and croquet that will be available over the weekend.
