FAQs

Question

Am I still invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to state restrictions, Trevor and Elle were forced to downsize their wedding significantly. These restrictions limit the guest list for both the Church and Reception to immediate family and bridal party only. If you received an RSVP card you are welcome to join the Bride and Groom at both St. Paul of the Cross for the Ceremony, and Park Ridge Country Club for the Reception. If you did not receive an RSVP card, you will not be on the registered guest list for the Ceremony or Reception. Trevor and Elle look forward to celebrating with you at a later date!

Question

Will you be "Live Streaming" your Ceremony?

Answer

As of right now, "Live Streaming" is not a service St. Paul of the Cross offers. Please check this website periodically for updates should anything change.

Question

Will the Ceremony and Reception be outdoors?

Answer

The Ceremony will be indoors inside St. Paul of the Cross Church. Pre-registration, temperature checks, and masks will be required. The Cocktail hour and Reception will be held outdoors, weather permitting, to allow for more comfortable social distancing. Masks are optional while outdoors at Park Ridge Country Club.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Trevor and Elle were forced to significantly downsize their wedding. Therefore, children will not be able to attend the Ceremony or Reception.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please visit the Travel page for information on the hotel rooms reserved for wedding guests.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the wedding events?

Answer

If you are staying at the Crown Plaza under the room block, shuttles will be provided from the hotel to the ceremony, and back to the hotel following reception. Uber and Lyft are recommended for transportation between the Ceremony and Reception.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire, please. Park Ridge Country Club requires gentlemen to wear a coat and tie, and does not permit hats or denim. Masks will be required at all times in St. Paul of the Cross Church, and when indoors at Park Ridge Country Club.

Question

What time should I arrive at the Ceremony?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no one is permitted to enter the church prior to 2:00pm, including vendors. Please arrive by 2:15pm to allow time to enter the Church and be comfortably seated (six feet apart from other households) prior to the ceremony commencing.

Question

Is there parking available at the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking! The main parking lot entrance at St. Paul of the Cross is off of Washington Avenue and Northwest Highway. Alternately, there is a handicap accessible ramp and elevator that is easily accessible from a small parking lot between St. Paul of the Cross School and the Church. There will be valet parking available at Park Ridge Country Club at the entrance off of North Prospect Avenue.

Question

What will the weather be like in Chicago?

Answer

Temperatures in Chicago on Labor Day weekend normally range between 75-85 Degrees. Please check the weather report a week prior for more accurate forecasts and pray for no rain!
