Elaine (Elle's co-maid of honor) came to visit Houston about 4 months after Elle moved there and encouraged her to set up a Bumble account. The two friends worked together over a delightful happy hour at Benjys to set up Elle's profile so that she could meet new people in her new city. After mutually 'matching', Chris captured Elle's interest with long conversations about travel and adventure. Shortly after meeting virtually, he asked her on a date to his favorite spot - Hay Merchant. One beer turned into a Sichuan dinner and the rest is history.

Elle and Chris went to Fredericksburg over a long weekend with her parents to enjoy their favorite hobbies together - camping and hiking. They woke up at 6:00am to climb the well loved trails at Enchanted Rock. While on the loop trail, Chris pulled Elle's dad aside to show him the ring and recruit him to film the proposal. Once they were at a scenic overlook Chris looked at Elle, got down on one knee, and asked her to be his rock forever.

Unfortunately COVID is still an important consideration when hosting a gathering. We are requiring all attending guests (big and small) to be fully vaccinated against COVID19. We also highly recommend you get a COVID test no more than 3 days before the event. As the pandemic is an evolving ordeal, we will update these requirements when it is appropriate. Also, please be aware that the location of our ceremony is completely outdoors. When packing/planning consider possible weather conditions: heat, rain, and bright sun.
