Things To Do in San Diego
San Diego Zoo
If you haven’t been, it’s a must-see! It’s ranked as one of the best zoos in the world.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
Enjoy a beautiful, easy-to-moderate hike (about an hour) with incredible views of the cliffs and ocean. It’s a local favorite!
La Jolla Cove
Located in La Jolla, this is one of the best spots to see the seals in San Diego!
Craft Beer
San Diego is renowned as the "Craft Beer Capital of America," with over 150 breweries across the county. Some big brands like Stone Brewing and Ballast Point (also Cutwater Spirits and Screwball Whiskey) started here, along with lots of smaller, highly rated breweries. Many offer tours with brewery hopping!
Cardiff State Beach
This is a beach a little farther north with a dedicated parking lot. It’s one of our favorite spots for swimming!
SeaWorld San Diego
SeaWorld is always a fun spot, with a nice mix of roller coasters, sea animals, and live shows.
LEGOLAND California
LEGOLAND is super fun (even for adults!) and especially great for kids. They also have a water park.
Balboa Park
This 1,200-acre park features 18 museums, 19 gardens, 4 theaters, and is right next to the zoo. The Air and Space Museum and the Fleet Science Center are our favorites.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
The Safari Park is a zoo in Escondido, and is a sister location of the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. It features more specific focus on animals from arid environments, but is even bigger than the San Diego Zoo. This park is convenient to visit if you are staying in North San Diego!
