Jon Landon and Lizzie's story began during the second half of their junior year of college when they were introduced through mutual friends involved in various college ministries. The introduction itself may have been memorable for Jon Landon, but for Lizzie... not so much. In fact, shortly after meeting him, she had to ask one of their mutual friends, "Wait... what was his name again?" While Lizzie may not have been immediately impressed by Jon Landon, he was determined to stay on her radar. So, he did what any awesome gentleman would do, he slid into her DMs on instagram. One social media follow turned into messages, messages became phone calls, phone calls turned into FaceTimes, and before long, what started as group hangouts became intentional one-on-one time together. And Lizzie learned his name! While their shared personalities, values, and sense of humor brought them closer, the foundation of their relationship was something much greater. From the beginning, they were drawn to one another's love for Christ and desire to serve others. Their relationship was built on a mutual pursuit of Jesus, and through that pursuit, their affection for each other continued to grow. As time passed, it became clear that the Lord was writing a story neither of them wanted to walk away from. So, on April 1st—yes, April Fools' Day of all days—they officially began dating. The time that followed was filled with countless belly laughs, meaningful conversations, steady growth, and an ever-deepening trust in God's plan for their lives. Through every season, the Lord faithfully guided their relationship, continually reminding them that His purpose was greater than their own. What began as an introduction between friends became a testimony of God's kindness. Jon Landon and Lizzie are incredibly grateful for the path the Lord has led them on and are excited to see where He continues to lead them in the years ahead.
