We understand asking our guest to travel half way around the world to help celebrate us, is a big ask. Please know if you can't make it overseas, we totally understand. We will be having a reception in Lexington, KY October 17, 2026 for anyone who wants to join.
Your presence is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, a contribution toward our honeymoon would be deeply appreciated.
This depends on how you're booking and what class you'd like to travel, so prices can vary. *Note-We suggest looking into other cities in Europe too. Once overseas you can find cheap tickets to fly from country to country and trains are also an option. Some websites & apps we like to use to look for cheaper airfare are: -Skyscanner (our favorite) -Hopper -Expedia -Kayak
You have options-we suggest flying into Rome, Florence, or Pisa. The villa is the closest to Rome, but can still be accessed from Florence and Pisa. Rome-Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO)-1hr 36 via car, 2hr-2.5hr via fast train Florence-Amerigo Vespucci Airport Via del Termine-3.5hr via car, 4h via fast train. Pisa-Pisa International Airport (PSA)-3hr 16min via car, 4hr 41 minutes via fast train.
If traveling by train from any city you will take the train into the city of Viterbo VT, ITaly. This city is 20 minutes from the venue and will have taxis etc.
The good news is you have options! We are getting married in a charming little town called Celleno VT, Italy. I would suggest Viterbo VT, Italy it's a 20 minute drive and the largest city close to the venue. However, you can also stay around Lake Bolsena, Italy it's a 30 minute drive. *Note some places Zach and I like to book through for accommodations are: -Hotels.com -Airbnb -Expedia -Vrbo
We suggest getting an international plan with your provider-they are usually around $10 per day for the first 5 days and free after. This allows you access to use your phone while overseas, if you opt out of this-keep your phone in airplane mode and connect to Wi-Fi when you have the chance as not to get roaming charges and international fees.
During the ceremony we are asking to be please be unplugged. While we love candid's and we absolutely want to see your photos and videos during the rest of our wedding. Please be present with us during the ceremony and just enjoy this moment with us without your phones.
We suggest checking on your credit and debit cards to make sure they do not have international fees. If they do charge fee's there are some great travel cards out there with zero international fees. Also, please note that many places in Italy and Europe do not take Discover and sometimes AMEX. Another option is always cash- you can go to your bank ahead of time and ask for Euro's and you can also use your debit card at ATM's in Italy for a one time fee. We suggest getting out a larger amount that way do not have to keep going to the ATM and obtaining those fees. Lastly, please remember to let your bank and credit card companies know you will be traveling aboard so they do not put freezes on your accounts.
Average high temperatures: Around 23-25°C (73-77°F). Average low temperatures: Around 12-15°C (53-59°F), especially in the evenings. Daily temperature range: Expect a good range between daytime highs and nighttime lows, so packing layers is recommended. May is generally a sunny month with an average of 8-10 hours of sunshine per day.
The aesthetic is chic meets Italian countryside.
The dress code is Semi-formal attire. It's more dressed up than casual wear but less formal than a tuxedo or gown. Think of it as "Sunday best" or "going out" attire. No jeans, please.
Truly your preference. The ceremony will be held in grass but the rest of the night will be on pavers/concrete.
To allow all guest, including parents, to fully enjoy our celebrations, we kindly request no children.
