Please note that all events (Welcome Party/Ceremony/Reception) are in Eastern Standard Time. This area stands on the line of the central and eastern time zones of America, so make sure to budget this into your timeline and know which one you’re staying in if you book a house!
We respectfully request no children at the reception. We have a limited headcount at the Inn so are keeping the kids to a minimum with our nieces and nephews.
Since the Inn is fully reserved for our wedding, no outsiders can book via the website. As a result, please call the Inn, and an Innkeeper will get you booked in a room (or let you know if it is full)! Their number is: (269) 469-0600.
The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. Ladies are encouraged to wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen can wear suits or sport coats with dress pants. The dress code for the welcome party is dressy casual. Please feel free to come in comfortable attire. Please note that both the welcome party and the cocktail hour will have indoor/outdoor elements.
Yes! We will have an open bar as well as small bites of food - come hungry and ready to celebrate!
We all love to know the parking situation ahead of time. There is parking at the Hummingbird Lounge (both in front of the restaurant and at the side entrance), St Mary of the Lake (large lot), and at the Lakeside Inn (parking lot to the left and additional spots behind the Inn). Please refer to the Lakeside Inn website for more details on parking if you are staying with us!
Perched above the shores of Lake Michigan, the Lakeside Inn is a historic retreat whose roots stretch back to the late 19th century, when it welcomed summer visitors seeking fresh air and quiet beauty. Established in the early 1900s, the Inn has long been known for its gracious porch, warm interiors, and timeless charm. Since the late 1960s, it has also carried a strong artistic legacy, hosting creators from around the world and continuing today with artists in residence who live and work on site. Blending history, creativity, and lakeside serenity, the Lakeside Inn remains a place where inspiration and hospitality meet. Tim and I especially love the Lakeside Inn’s connection to artists! We will have an artist at our cocktail hour completing mini portraits as an homage to this history!
The Lakeside Inn has hosted us many times and always provides a cozy, historic and charming environment. Since it is over 100 years old, it doesn’t have all the amenities you’d find in a modern hotel room. Be sure to pack a blow drier and look to see if your room has a mini fridge if required! Each room has its own unique story and vibe. Something we have always found fun and exciting.
For those staying at the Lakeside Inn, there is an adorable breakfast option to add to your room for Saturday! They will email you about a week before the wedding for your selection, and set out mini picnic baskets with your room number attached to take wherever you’d like on the property. On Sunday, Tim and I will be providing a basic breakfast spread in the lobby of the Lakeside Inn for whomever wishes to partake (all guests welcome!). Come grab a bite to eat and find us in our newfound marital glow, or feel free to head home! Please do whatever makes the most sense for you!
Please RSVP electronically by September 5th, 2026.
We are working through the details of the shuttle and will keep our website updated with the information.
