Question

What is the dress code for each event?

Answer

The first event for everyone will be the Sangeet - this "Musical Night" or "Musical Party" is a celebration for all guests to celebrate the Indian culture. Bright, festive colors are highly recommended for all guests - women typically wear bright and fun anarkalis, lehengas, or sarees, while men typically wear formal Indo-Western jackets, sherwanis, or kurta sets. If you want to wear Indian clothes, it's seen as acceptable for non-Indians to wear (and highly encouraged - wearing traditional Indian clothes can be a great way to celebrate the culture!). For the Sangeet, please avoid wearing all white or black ensembles. For the Baraat and Wedding Ceremony, bright, festive colors are also highly recommended for all guests. For the ceremony, as above, women typically wear bright and fun anarkalis, lehengas, or sarees, while men typically wear formal Indo-Western jackets, sherwanis, or kurta sets. For these events, please avoid wearing red or pink ensembles. Our dress code for the reception is black tie. A black-tie dress code denotes a formal evening occasion, where men are encouraged to wear tuxedos and women are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns or formal jumpsuits. For the reception, please avoid wearing white ensembles.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, click the RSVP tab and type the name(s) listed on your invitation. If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you will be able to RSVP for your entire group.

Question

Can I bring a guest or date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. You may bring a guest or date if your invitation says "and Guest" or your significant other's name.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate those children listed on your invitation. Children are more than welcome to the Sangeet, Baraat, and Ceremony. While we love your little ones, we have decided to make the Reception an adults-only celebration.

Question

Will the Ceremony take place indoors or outside, and what should we expect for weather?

Answer

Our Ceremony will be held outdoors (on the Lagoon Lawn) shortly after the Baraat, while all other events will take place indoors. Scottsdale typically enjoys warm and pleasant weather in late April. You can expect daytime temperatures to range from the mid-70s to high-80s °F, with mornings being absolutely beautiful. Evenings tend to be cooler, often dropping into the 60s °F. It's generally dry, with low humidity and plenty of sunshine.
