We first met in New York City, where what was supposed to be "just 1 drink" turned into 5 hours of conversation and laughter. A year later, we found ourselves on a remote 6-day trek through Patagonia together, hiking more than 15 miles a day and learning that adventure was our favorite way to get to know each other. The outdoors has always been part of our love story, from Sachin’s life-changing summit of Mt. Rainier to Liz's solo backpacking treks, where we both found clarity about our future. It's only fitting that Sachin proposed on a trail in Mt. Rainier, dropping to one knee when Liz thought he was just stopping to take in the view.
