We met in 2023 when we were coworkers at The Chalet. The Chalet at The Mill Stream Run Recreation Area is located at 16200 Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, between Routes 42 & 82 in Strongsville – just off I-71 & the Ohio Turnpike. The topic that got us talking was Buhurt. Buhurt is the world of modern medieval battle, a human demolition derby where men and women wearing up to 100 pounds of armor slash and hammer one another with blunted steel swords, axes and maces — until someone goes down, gives up or loses on points. We now spend most of our time at Buhurt practice or at Buhurt events. The first time we hung out together outside of work was at P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub in Kamm's Corners. We were there for way too long, but clearly it was a great time. After that night we mainly would see each other at work, after work outings with fellow coworkers, or at my house at the time.

We bought a house together in February. It is a gorgeous home that is in the Tudor revival style. Though it has been a lot of work, we love our home greatly. We got engaged on April 12th, 2025 at Ridgewood Lake Park. The gazebo was gorgeous during that time of the year with daffodils around it. We have two cats who we love very dearly. The oldest is Elowyn, she is currently 4 years old. When we get married she will be 5 years old. She is a dilute tortoiseshell color and is a Maine coon American shorthair mix. The youngest is Roscoe, he is currently 2 years old. He will be 3 when we get married. He is an all black cat and his breed is unknown at this moment. We think he could be an American Bombay cat.
