Maid of Honor
Abbey and Elizabeth have been friends since they were in Mr. Crosby's 6th grade home room class. Abbey invited Elizabeth to her 12th birthday party at the end of the year, solidifying their friendship forever. Abbey and Elizabeth survived high school together and visited each other throughout college, going to and from Austin and Denton. After college, Abbey moved north for work and the girls conquered Dallas together. Abbey has been one of the best friends a girl could ever have, and has been there through every season of life.
Matron of Honor
Sarah is, believe it or not, Elizabeth's middle sister. Sarah has been putting up with Elizabeth's antics for 26 years and counting. For example, she was the first person to ever drive an inebriated Elizabeth home. One time, she jumped out of a sailboat because her older sister was being so bossy. This is different than the time she fell backwards out of another sailboat, also while with Elizabeth. Sarah married Alec Permenter in 2024, where Elizabeth was her Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaid
Caroline is Elizabeth's youngest sister. She is the one Elizabeth warns people about before they meet her.
Bridesmaid
Jasmine and Elizabeth joined Zeta Tau Alpha together at the University of North Texas, as part of the Fall 2016 pledge class. Elizabeth recognized Jasmine through a mutual friend, and the rest was history. Jasmine and Elizabeth were inseparable (infamous?) through their time at Zeta, joining both the Program Council and spirit group Lady Wings (iykyk), and even lived together their senior year at the Zeta house. Despite the three hour distance between Dallas and Austin after graduation and the pandemic, Jasmine and Elizabeth remain close as ever.
Bridesmaid
Avishka and Elizabeth have been friends since 8th grade, and rounds out the trio of her, Abbey, and Elizabeth. Abbey introduced Elizabeth and Avishka, and they all began hanging out together. Avishka and Elizabeth both attended college in the DFW area, so they were able to stay in touch relatively easily. On one memorable occasion, Avishka and Elizabeth drove from Dallas to New Orleans to meet Abbey for Mardi Gras! Avishka is always down for a concert, rave, or happy hour, and is always a shoulder to lean on.
Best Man
Jordan "Jwash" Washington has been one of Patrick's best friends since Spring of 2013 when they meet at Hebron High School. Jordan was running for Student Council Class President and enlisted some of Patrick's mutual friends to help. He has been one of Patrick's closest friends since that day. We were together for Homecoming, Prom, Lubbock visits, and many nights out in Dallas. Patrick couldn't think of anyone else he'd rather have at his side when Elizabeth walks down the aisle. Just don't ask him for any dirt on Patrick, because he has more than anyone should have.
Groomsman
Lane is quite possibly one of Patrick's oldest close friends that exists, and were originally a trio at Christ Church Plano with the infamous William Freeman in early grade school. Many a youth group event and Sonic drive-thru was familiar with these two. They were separated temporarily during college, one in East Texas, the other in West Texas, but picked up where they left off right away. There is something to be said about friendships that have lasted almost 2 decades.
Groomsman
Jacob and Patrick were (and still are) pledge brothers for Theta Chi Fraternity at Texas Tech. Patrick had the bright idea of dragging Jacob along to a pledgeship event one night after playing sand volleyball at Patrick’s dorm freshmen year. They proceeded to spend the next 4+ years in Lubbock showing up everywhere together, and were always up to no good. Jacob is one of those ol' reliable friends that are quite rare in the 21st century. If he didn't live in Austin, it can be presumed that they would still see each 1-2 times a week, just like they did in school.
Groomsman
Max Noble is one of Patrick's little brothers from Theta Chi. Max has probably been the biggest thorn in Patrick's side since he became his little brother in the spring of 2019. The proud fraternity family line that Patrick and Max belong to boasts several presidents, treasurers, and other executive member positions. The men who strived to be better, and to hold each other accountable. Max followed in Patrick’s footsteps, accomplishing almost everything his older brother did and more; the more including becoming fraternity president. Throughout the early years of their friendship, Max was always considered a mini version of Patrick. These days, Max decides it’s best to roast Patrick to oblivion to keep him humble, something that is probably very necessary.
Groomsman
Guillermo Gameros is the Barney to Patrick's Ted (even though Guillermo still hasn't forgiven Patrick for NOT spoiling the ending to How I Met Your Mother, if you know you know). Guillermo and Patrick met through the Texas Tech Real Estate Organization, and were asked to attend two Texas Tech Real Estate Industry trips together. Those are where they first connected, and realized that the other person wasn't as annoying as originally thought. One of them had the bright idea of moving in together 6 months after graduation, during the prime time of Covid lockdown. Though it was heated at times, they lived together for a full two years before Patrick decided to try out bachelor pad living. Patrick will never forget that first apartment after college on Fitzhugh Avenue. Guillermo is also the person most likely to get Patrick off the couch from watching TV, and out on the town.
Officiant
There will likely be lots of stories throughout the weekend from our guests who were members of Theta Chi. No person is more important to that story than Brendan Miller. Brendan was the first member of Theta Chi that Patrick met during Spring 2019 recruitment; and he was the initial reason for Patrick deciding to join. Brendan was an old fart at 25 years old when 19-year-old freshman faced Patrick Hopkins became his first little brother that March. Brendan became an actual big brother to him during his years at Tech, and was a true mentor for years to come. He was constantly bringing Patrick under his wing, and making sure he was always doing the right thing. He taught Patrick how to be a leader and a better man. Brendan was there since the beginning, and will likely be there at the end as well. When Elizabeth and Patrick thought about who they wanted to ask to be their officiant, they both knew that they wanted someone they admired and trusted. There are not many others who could fit that description better than Brendan.
