The Venue
Answer
The ceremony and reception will take place at Bill Miller's Castle. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside (weather permitting), and the rest of the reception will be indoors.

Guests may arrive at 4:00pm and the ceremony will begin at 4:30pm.

Dress Code

Black tie optional. Tuxedo or dark suit (navy blue, charcoal, black) and tie for men. Floor-length gown, cocktail dress, or formal jumpsuit for women.

Parking and Transportation
Answer
There is ample parking at Bill Miller's Castle. If needed, guests can leave their vehicles at the venue overnight, however, they must be picked up by 12pm the following day. Uber and Lyft are also available. Shuttles to/from the venue will be reserved for guests staying at the Omni Hotel.

Weather
Answer
In late September, Branford, Connecticut typically experiences mild and pleasant weather. Daytime highs usually range from the mid-60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit (about 18-24°C). Nighttime temperatures can drop to the mid-40s to mid-50s Fahrenheit (around 7-13°C). While the majority of the reception will be indoors, we recommend a light jacket or shawl for the evening.

To allow all our guests to enjoy a night of celebration, we kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only event. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes. The top shelf open bar will have beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Please utilize Uber/Lyft if you are unable to drive home.

Accessibility
Answer
The ceremony will take place on a flat, grassy area that is next to the castle and parking lot. Following the ceremony, guests will be directed to a patio area for the cocktail hour. There are a few small steps leading up to the patio. There is also a wheelchair-accessible entrance on the other side of the castle (visible from the parking lot and highway). The patio leads into the indoor reception area (wood floors). Please reach out to the bride and groom with any accessibility concerns!

Ending/After Party
Answer
The reception will end at 10:00pm. For those wishing to continue the festivities, there will be an after party with food/drinks in New Haven at the Trinity Bar & Restaurant.
