Welcome to the Great Smoky Mountains! Lizzy and Oliver couldn't be happier to be gathering with their loved ones in their favorite place on the planet. As a kid, Oliver would visit Nana and Papa every summer for "mountain time" which included hikes, barbecue, but mostly sitting and listening to the sounds of the forest. A temperate rainforest, these mountains experience afternoon rain and morning mists (hence the name Smoky Mountains), are flowing with creeks and waterfalls and are blooming with rhododendron and azaleas among the moss. Among the events of the weekend, Lizzy and Oliver encourage you to give yourself some time to experience "mountain time". Sit and listen. These ancient mountains will certainly speak back.
