We're getting married!

Joel and Lizzie were meant to be since 2007, they just didn't know it yet. Both attended Parkway Central Middle School in Saint Louis and were very involved in extra curricular activities. They definitely crossed paths and locked eyes at multiple points, but it was no more than a lost attraction. Fast forward to high school where they both attended Parkway Central High and Lizzie dated a guy on the soccer team just to have more eyes on Joel. Although things never panned out, they both had great college lives at Indiana University and University of Kansas, respectively. Fast forward to winter 2018, Lizzie moved to Chicago in hopes to reunite her eyes with Joel's. Little did she know, Joel has had eyes on Lizzie all along. On a brisk Cinco de Mayo summer day in Chicago, the Cardinals were playing the Cubs at Wrigley. Of course, Joel was at his favorite bar before the game, Old Crow, when he found Lizzie walking around with her friend, Kara. Joel knew this could be his only chance to make something happen. So instead of leaving for the game with his friends, he stayed back and gave Lizzie his phone number. To nobody's surprise, Lizzie already had his number somehow from their days at Parkway Central. This alarmed Joel at first, but it wasn't enough to stop him from asking her out three separate times before she finally said yes. Joel was finally able to convince Lizzie to meet at the Blues bar (The Diag) for game 7 of the Stanley Cup, after Lizzie's mom told her she would regret it for the rest of her life if she didn't watch the Blues win. After the Blues won the Stanley Cup, it may not have been Joel's best showing, but it was enough for Lizzie to want to go on a real date with Joel the next day. Since then, Joel and Lizzie have had the best time exploring Chicago, trying new foods, traveling, going to concerts, going to Broadway shows, and laughing through life together. They can't wait to get married in Saint Louis back where their eyes first locked, and create a beautiful rest of their life together!
