Matron of Honor
Melissa is Curley's older sister. She has always been my biggest supporter, and has been a huge supporter of Jeff and my relationship. There is no one else I would want as my Matron of Honor on this day!
Best Man
Tom Giuffre is one of Jeff's closest friends and climbing partners. Tom and Jeff have had many life changing adventures together throughout Yosemite, the Sierra, and the Tetons. Whatever you do, don't ask him about the time he and Jeff got a ride of Mt. Conness by helicopter.
Maid of Honor
Sam has been one of my best friends since the first day of kindergarten. We were inseparable all through school. Sam has always had a huge presence in my life and I couldn't imagine taking this next step without her by my side.
Best Man
Chris is and Jeff met sometime in college around 2000. Chris was on the Golf team and head of the Surf Club, and they met sometime during fraternity Rush. Although Chris joined another house, they were practically inseparable during college, and Chris even allowed Jeff to take a spot on the Surf team even though he got last in every competition. Chris taught Jeff most of what he knows about Surfing and Golf, and was there for Jeff's only hole-in-one. Chris makes everything look effortless and Jeff has learned a lot from Chris and is grateful for their 25 years of friendship.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is Curley's next door neighbor and best friend since they were 5. Lauren has been apart of every part of my life, more like a sister than a friend and I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side. Lauren is also part of the reason how Jeff and I met.
Groomsman
Travis and Jeff have been friends since college. While the college days are long gone Jeff and Travis still find time to connect, usually over some sort of sufferfest in the mountains. Despite the demands from a demanding career and a beautiful family with 3 kids, Travis still usually beats Jeff to the summit, the hut, the car, or whatever the destination may be.
Bridesmaid
Ali and Curley have been long time friends. They grew up sailing against each other, then became much closer friends during middle school and high school, turning into life long friends. Even though they don’t live near each other they are still as close as ever. I couldn’t imagine getting married and not having Ali standing by my side!
Groomsman
Efram and Jeff have forged a friendship through blood, sweat, and beer. Efram is a go-to climbing partner for Jeff. From a variety of peaks across the Sierra, to a variety of breweries in San Diego, Efram is always up for a good time, a few jokes, and a decent IPA
Bridesmaid
Brianna is a fellow teacher, and someone I became quick friends with during my teaching stint out in Borrego Springs. I don't think I would have survived, or enjoyed that time in my life without her with me the whole time.
Groomsman
Dale is one of Jeff’s oldest friends, as they met sometime at Twin Peaks Middle School in Poway. Both Dale and Jeff had led a circuitous route through college, but always managed to connect no matter where they were geographically. It’s a full circle moment as Jeff was in Dale’s wedding party, and now Dale can return the favor (or honor).
Bridesmaid
Jess and I have been friends since playing 10 and under youth water polo. After that we became inseparable. We played together all through youth, high school, and even went to UC Berkeley together. So happy to have her standing by my side on this important day.
Groomsman
Jeff and Joe met through the local rock climbing scene. They were both active climbers and rock climbing guides/instructors. Shortly after, Jeff and Joe began working together in Multi-Family real estate. While Joe is certainly one of Jeff’s more recent friends, Joe enriches Jeff’s life so much that he had to be part of the wedding party.
Bridesmaid
Curley and Kim met while playing waterpolo together at UC Berkeley. They became fast friends, and lived together their senior year of college despite being in rival sororities. Kim is such a good, kind person that Curley feels extremely lucky to call her a close friend, and to have her standing by her side on this important day.
Groomsman
Brent is Jeff’s older brother and oldest friend. Together they traveled to many amazing places. Brent has lived all over the country, and world and now resides in Seattle with his wife Devyani and their beautiful baby boy Niam. Jeff and Curley are grateful to have Brent be apart of their day.
Officiant
Chris and Jeff met in college where Chris managed the bar that Jeff frequented, perhaps in hindsight, a little too often. While they were members of rival fraternities, their commonalities kept them together throughout college and after, where they were roommates on 38th Street on the Peninsula in Newport Beach. Many years later, Chris married Curley’s next door neighbor and childhood friend, Drew (DeVoy) Sanford, and was the reason Jeff and Curley met. Curley and Jeff are beyond grateful for his participation as the Officiant in their wedding.
