We both started as nannies... Elizabeth's Version of Our Story: Starting in High School, I started nannying two boys at their lake house during the summer months. As my summers got busier and busier, I nannied them less frequently. And then COVID hit... Miami University sent me home due to COVID and I found myself finishing my college courses online in my parent's basement. Even though the world was shutting down, I still needed an income. My job hunt continued and while searching, I reconnected with my old nanny family and became apart of their "bubble". I started to train their oldest son in soccer and began watching the boys on the weekends as needed. As our relationship grew, they offered to host me at their Michigan home for a few weeks to help me network. I needed a change of scenery...and a job...so I said yes! A few weeks later I found myself in Holland, MI visiting my nanny family. Towards the end of my visit I met Jason. The boys and I were playing basketball and Jason pops out of the bushes with a puppy in his hand! At the time I was confused why the neighbor casually came out of the bushes with a dog, but I later learned that he is their nanny in Michigan. The next day, my second to last day in Michigan, my dog Mo found Jason in the backyard and OF COURSE had to greet him. I wandered over and we began chatting and exchanged phone numbers. Besides a donut run in the morning with the boys, I had not seen Jason again before returning to Wisconsin. We continued to chat, he visited Wisconsin, and a few months later I temporarily moved in with my nanny family and became his neighbor AND girlfriend. If that isn't a fairytale, I don't know what is... Jason's Version of Our Story: When I was 17, I started watching the neighborhood boys. I continued to be a part of their lives throughout college… One day, I ran into my neighbor; She was eager to share a “Tall blonde, D1 athlete” was coming to spend a couple weeks with them. A few weeks later, the neighbor boys were playing outside and called me over to see our new puppy Belle. As I crossed the backyard I saw their “nanny in Wisconsin” and her little white dog. … It's been history ever since
