We tried out this restaurant when Ryan & Stephanie (Beth's brother and his fiancé) visited us. This is a great spot for tapas style shareable plates and killer cocktails. If offered by the waiter, we recommend letting the chef choose the plates for the table. Not a bad thing on the menu!
If you're looking for a cool, trendy cocktail spot-this is the place. This is a cozy, funky atmosphere with incredible cocktails. If you know us well, you know we always bring a deck of cards to a new bar. This cocktail bar is a good time for cards in the afternoon, but it'll get busy at night!
This brewery has hosted many Gin Rummy 500 card nights for us. Great beer and great vibes. This brewery is also where many of Merrill (bridesmaid) and Beth's summer time "hot girl walks" would end...along with a phone call to Davis asking him to drive us home.
Trust us on this one. Davis is a true Nashville native, and definitely no stranger to a good meal. You're going to see plenty of signs for Hattie B's hot chicken, and I'm sure you'll be tempted. However, skip the 200 person line at Hattie B's and head to Prince's hot chicken for some real Nashville hot chicken. P.S-there's a closer location on Broadway. The location linked is to the original location.
L&L Market is home to 2 great places. Honest Roast coffee and Penne Pazze. If you need a caffeinated pick-me-up, Beth recommends the iced First Lady. If you need some truly delicious Italian, head downstairs to Penne Pazze. If you order a pizza, be sure to add onion jam to your order. Additional fun fact, L&L Market is right across the street from Beth's first house in Nashville!
This is a cozy, delicious dinner spot! Long wait time? Head across the street to Urban Cowboy for a cocktail before.
Monday night brewing is home to an incredible beer menu and lots of space for large parties. This Germantown brewery also hosted an engagement party (organized by some pretty cool friends) for us the day after Davis proposed!
If the lovely Union Station bartenders accidentally over serve you Saturday night, 51st deli will be your cure. Head here for a mean breakfast burrito/bagel or an excellent deli sub.
We LOVE to take out of town friends here! You can get live country music anywhere in Nashville, but Listening Room is a whole different experience. Grab your tickets early online and spend the evening listening to some amazing songwriters. We recommend grabbing dinner before and doing the later show.
Similar to 51st Deli, Red Headed Stranger is a hangover remedy or just a great lunch spot. This fun spot was right down the road from Sam's (bridesmaid) first house in Nashville and quickly became a staple for the girls. Make sure to grab a side of loaded tots!
If you've visited us in Nashville, you've been to Mother's Ruin. This germantown bar is a Nashville classic. Don't be intimated by the website! We took mom and dad (Hope and Brian) for some cards and cocktails and they still talk about it. However, if you're planning on going on a weekend evening, be prepared for a crowd.
If you're looking for a "Nashville downtown vibe", we recommend you skip Broadway and hit Printer's Alley instead. It's home to some pretty cool bars and restaurants and still just a couple blocks off Broadway. If karaoke is your thing, Ms. Kelly's karaoke bar is the place for you. "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks always sounds better when sung at Ms. Kelly's.
Very similar to 12th South, this is a relaxed neighborhood with a lot to offer. We recommend skipping the long lines and crowded streets in The Gulch, and heading to Hillsboro Village or 12th South areas instead!
Good wine, great pizza, even better Tiramisu. They don't take reservations, so leave your number at the host stand and grab a cocktail at the swanky speakeasy across the alley, Old Glory.
The Frist Art museum is conveniently located right next to Union Station. Snag a day pass and enjoy some beautiful exhibits!
If you're looking for stellar Italian food, we say go ahead and hit Bella Napoli's or Penne Pazze before Coco's. However, if you have a late night sweet tooth, Coco's New York cheesecake slice to go is your answer. This is Beth's favorite dessert in Nashville!
Because our wedding is in January, a walk in the park may not be ideal. However, Mccabe golf course is right off Cherokee Road. Cherokee Road is Beth's favorite street in Nashville, and where Mit (Davis' mom) lived with her besties after college. Cherokee Road is also right by Davis' highschool, Montgomery Bell Academy.
Need a late night dive bar? This is the spot. We have spent many game days cheering on Auburn at our local Neighbor's. For our Texas folks, they have Shiner on tap. Enough said there.
12th South St is packed full of retail stores, bakeries, bars and fun restaurants. This is the perfect spot for an afternoon walk and its right near Belmont's campus!
Cheekwood is a very special place for Davis & Beth! on Decemeber 2nd, 2022, Davis proposed to Beth here! We recommend visiting the website and buying day pass tickets to view the Cheekwood Mansion and walk the grounds. They have a stellar coffee shop on the grounds too!
If historical landmarks are your scene, a tour of Belle Meade Mansion is a great opportunity to learn more about some history behind Nashville. Tickets can be found online, and they tend to book up fast. We took Hope and Brian here for a tour of the grounds followed by a wine tasting and it was a hit!
