Maid of Honor
Elizabeth’s best friend since their early days at JMU and the inspiration behind every matching Halloween costume, spontaneous Monday night out, and questionable decision ever made in the last ten years.
Best Man
Cullen's only brother and lifelong hunting, fishing and motorcycle partner, he represents the family's patriotic roots serving as a Captain in the Army and thankfully no longer skips leg days. He's tough as nails and cool as the other side of the pillow.
Bridesmaid
She's the reason Elizabeth spends so much time at Georgetown Piano Bar and the only one she can count on to sing Billy Joel with in any public setting, no matter how inappropriate.
Best Man
Lifelong friends, Cullen and Joe have been competing in everything under the sun since they met in 6th grade. Affectionately known as eggie, Joe's the self-anointed karaoke king and always the life of the party.
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth's JMU-turned-Arlington friend and roommate for years (despite wanting to de-friend her after their house search); she's the one who found Cullen’s Zillow ad online and the reason we’re having this wedding.
Groomsman
Rivals on the basketball court since the 2nd grade and fast friends once they met off it, Cullen and Brian have been convincing each other to do semi-questionable things ever since - much to the dismay of anyone caught in the middle of a competition, prank, late night rafting trip or other ill-advised activity.
Bridesmaid
The only other person in Arlington, besides Elizabeth, who is on a first name basis with the Pizza Boli's delivery drivers. She's a JMU original and founding member of the Arlington crew.
Groomsman
One of Cullen's oldest and most loyal friends and leader of many infamous bat-mobile joyrides growing up; John and Cullen share a love of sports, motorcycles, and late night debates over a glass of good whiskey.
Bridesmaid
A founding member of the North 38 trio and a loyal friend every year thereafter, she's been present for every Mom's Weekend rager and Dona Rosa fishbowl expedition. She's also the only reason Elizabeth has gotten as far as she has in her wedding planning.
Groomsman
Cullen’s closest friend from college, Matt has a knack for finding the most adventurous destinations for Cullen to come and visit around the globe, especially if a full moon party is involved.
Bridesmaid
Cullen's adventure-seeking, dog-loving younger sister, who has always been his partner in crime since day one (although those crimes tended to be against each other in their younger years).
Groomsman
Cullen's first brother-in-law, Justin has an affinity for the outdoors, hunting, and amateur comedy, and is grateful Cullen gave him a second chance after his argyle sweater performance.
Bridesmaid
Cullen's independent, chart-your-own-path, first-sibling-to-get-a-tattoo youngest sister; she's the theatrical and creative genius of the family and probably still hasn't forgiven Cullen for all of the sporting events she had to endure growing up.
Groomsman
Known for his extensive knowledge of history and useful, random facts, Paul is guaranteed to win in any bar trivia challenge. Cullen is looking forward to being able to call Paul a brother-in-law this Fall.
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth’s sister-in-law, style icon and constant sounding board, and the one who taught her that prosecco is always a good idea.
Groomsman
Elizabeth’s oldest brother, godfather, and the one she gets all of her business advice from! He's also the sibling who shares her same love of all things buffalo chicken.
Bridesmaid
The sister-in-law who introduced Elizabeth to Guapo’s, The Bachelor and Hamilton, and who broke the 26-year-old Emery male streak by giving Elizabeth her first niece.
Groomsman
The older brother who graciously let Elizabeth continue to live in his basement during her first year in Arlington and his first year of marriage…despite the rager she threw the night her key got stuck in the door...
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth's first sister-in-law and the one who made her an aunt for the first time! She will undoubtedly try to grab the mic at some point during the reception (and we love her for it).
Groomsman
Elizabeth’s “pair,” self-proclaimed coolest older brother, and the one who taught her how to dip pizza in ranch; he will claim to know every person at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
The last and very welcome addition to the Emery family, she will be marrying Elizabeth’s brother, Mark in October; she shares Elizabeth's love of late-night family chats filled with wine, laughs, and an occasional Hamilton sing-a-long.
Groomsman
The youngest of Elizabeth's four older brothers and the one she battled with most growing up, he is the literary genius of the family and is credited with turning Elizabeth into “Little Bits,” which then became “Bitsy." She likes to think she'd be included in Mark's hand-made family drawings today.
