Glass Beach

A beautiful little bit of local history; in 1906, this beach was used as the town dump. The pounding waves broke down glass and pottery dumped here and the pieces broke into small, smooth, colored glass that have now become jewelry quality. There are three sites, but one official Glass Beach in Fort Bragg.

The California redwoods, pristine coastline, and award winning vineyards are all a part of the landscape of what makes Mendocino County such an amazing place and home to this 131-year-old train.
