Brent and Elizabeth’s story began at Saint John Neumann Church in 2014, though technically, their very first meeting happened years earlier in third grade, when Elizabeth’s mom taught Brent in CCD. At the time, neither of them could have imagined what the future held. It wasn’t until high school that their paths truly crossed. While both were part of Agape youth group, Brent finally worked up the courage to reach out to Elizabeth on Facebook. One message led to another, phone numbers were exchanged, and on February 15, 2015, they went on their first date as high school seniors. After graduation, their journey continued long-distance. Elizabeth attended Christopher Newport University in Virginia, while Brent studied at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Despite the miles, they made it work, visiting each other during the school year and spending every summer together. In 2019, after graduating from college, they took the next step and moved in together. Nearly nine and a half years after that first date, in August 2024, Brent proposed at a beautiful park in Leesburg, Virginia near the place where they had moved into their very first apartment together.
