Eli is my best friend, and our friendship began in the 6th grade when we played soccer together. Over the years we have truly grown up side by side—supporting each other through breakups, life changes, and witnessing one another find our life partners. She has also known Alejandro since elementary school, which makes her presence here even more special. I deeply admire her strength, her open-mindedness, and the way she always approaches life with understanding and compassion. She is truly one of the most supportive people I know and has stood by us through every high and low. Eli, I love you. Tony and Alejandro have been friends since middle school, where they first bonded playing soccer together. The three of us actually met around that same time, but it wasn’t until adulthood that our friendship truly grew. During the years I attended graduate school, Tony even lived with us for three years, becoming part of our everyday lives. Over the years, as we have all grown and evolved, our friendship has remained strong because of the understanding and respect we have for one another. Tony is someone who truly understands Alejandro—his personality, his sense of humor, and the kind of person he is.
