Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Reyes Gutierrez

Best Man

I met Reyes back when I was in Pre-school. We've been together throughout all of life. These adventures started through middle school, high school, being college roommates, and now working together at SRP. From the highs to the lows, I still remember middle school days when I'd beat him on WiiSports (high) and the day we burnt his mom's carne asada on the stove (low). As many times as his mom mentioned to watch it, we forgot as soon as she walked out the front door. Through our life, Reyes has always been a great friend to lean on when I need help. "You Find Out Who Your Friends Are" is truely a song about this guy. He arranged our awesome bachelor party, and was able to audible locations through these crazy times! He's a friend to many, but I'm lucky to call him one of my best friends!

Ricky Sanchez

Best Man

Ricky, my day one best friend. The good Lord blessed me with a brother that was so close in age to me that we grew up as best friends. As my little brother, he never made competing in sports against each other easy. Whoever was my friend, instantly became a friend of Ricky's. There's never a dull moment with my bro, and he knows how to keep us laughing. He's known how to keep our brotherhood close, as he was always willing to follow my footsteps to Las Cruces and Phoenix. If I need actual critical advice, I know I can count on him. He's a straight shooter and will call it as he sees it. I've gotten into plenty of trouble with him, but have also collected many beautiful memories.

Arturo Padilla

Groomsman

One of my favorite stories to share about Turi is that I actually met him before I ever met Eliza! I was Turi's high school baseball coach during his freshman year. After I started dating Eliza, Turi was as surprised as I was once we put one and one together that I was dating his sister! He's been a great brother-in-law, and made my first bbq's at Eliza's house much easier. Not only did I get to see Eliza on dates, but I would also get to see her at our baseball games. Turi, I have you to thank for being a great friend, and making it easier in being part of your family.

David Salcido

Groomsman

I met David back in 4th during my morning and afternoon walks to our Bluffview elementary school. He was so much bigger than everyone else, but he was kind and friendly. He and his family were so open to having me over frequently that I even stayed the night about 3 times a week in the summer. When it came to getting me out of my bubble, David introduced me into participating in other activities such as basketball, football, and meeting new people outside of my norms. His family gave me the self confidence of one day becoming an engineer. I learned so much from David and his family, and I'm blessed to say I'm still very close to Ruben, Reiko, Kellea, Chayton, and David to this day.

Oscar Cobos

Groomsman

Mr Cobos and I met at NMSU when I was "recruiting" for our intramural softball team (which we won 1st). We were at the gym and I noticed he was wearing Mayfield shorts, so I quickly made my move to introduce myself! From softball we began our friendship and we quickly started hanging out outside the diamond. He also persuaded me to coach high school baseball at Centennial (which I thank him for) where I noticed how passionate of an individual he was. From the country bars to getting our first buzz together off of Whiskey, we've built many memories. Since Oscar has left LC to pursue his law career, we have always made time to spend time together.

Luis Acosta

Groomsman

Lou-weezy as we like to call him. A person I've called a friend since pre-school and have built long-lasting memories with. From latching doors to disappearing on us in downtown Houston, this man never disappoints. He knows how to light up a room with his jokes and keep us entertained for hours. He may describe me as the person who likes to follow the rules, but he knows how to introduce the trouble. If you have the opportunity to talk to Luis, he may even stretch some truth on how he broke my front tooth. Apparently he dunked a basketball on me, but all I recall us going up for a rebound. You be the judge.

Alejandro Menocal

Groomsman

Alejandro and I became roommates in Houston during our summer internship at ExxonMobil. I chose him as a roommate solely due to the fact that he had a Hispanic last name and I thought we'd get along ok. Boy was I wrong about just ok! We kicked it off great, and became family that summer. We ran a smooth household and we did many things together from cooking, lifting weights, and going out during the weekend. He made that summer enjoyable, maybe a little too much since it went by so quickly. We're fortunate that even with our busy schedules, he and his wife, Sophie, still schedule trips to spend time with Eliza and I. We've been able to start and continue our annual Purgatory ski trip, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon!.

Gavin Gastel

Groomsman

G baby really knows how to pick out a suit. When we first met, we had on the exact same attire! We met in Houston on our ExxonMobil internship and hit it off really well. He was the friend I needed with making that Houston summer an enjoyable one. One memory that comes to mind is I didn't think Gavin wanted anything to do with me after we all went out our first weekend in Htown. I ended up getting sick and destroying his sink even though I thought he was asleep. He obviously heard and didn't hold it against me! From teaching him how to two step (he claims I didn't and all I did was yell) to deep sea fishing, we tried it all. He's part of the Htown Leverage and we continue making memories to this day from DisneyLand to the Rocky Mountain ski resorts.

Jonathan Montes

Bridesman

Thick as thieves since we were little kids! Always together every single summer getting into trouble, staying up late watching movies and making trips to Walmart and Target to buy unnecessary things that always seemed like a good idea at the time. As we got older that didn't change, some distance in between but we still manage to reconnect and remain closer than ever. I'm so excited to have you stand by my side as my Bridesman!

Alejandra Montes

Maid of Honor

God made us cousins because he knew our mom's could not handle us together as sister's! We share a strong bond you and I, you truly are my soul sister! I couldn't imagine anyone else to stand by me as my MOH. I mean, you were there the night Javy and I met and you have been a part of our journey since.

Kiana Reynaga

Bridesmaid

Oh! Where to even start with this little sassy queen. There is no way I was going to marry my mister without having my sister by my side. We are excited to have you as part of our bridal party. I remember you were so little when Javy and I started dating. The first time he came over to the house, he rang the door bell and you yelled out, "Eliza, it's your friend". Javy loves to tell that story and we'll never let you live it down!

Viviana Gutierrez

Bridesmaid

Girl! Where to even start with you. We are cousins by blood but sisters at heart, Growing up we were constantly at each others throats. LOL. All fun and games and great stories and memories that we reminisce about now. You have been through it all with me. I wouldn't have it any other way! I'm so happy you said yes to standing by my side as I say I do and marry the love of my life.

Nena Sanchez

Bridesmaid

My sissy-n- law! You are such a beautiful and kind soul. From the very first time I met you, you were nice and kind to me and easily welcomed me into your family. Not much has changed other than when we get together you know there is going to be non-stop laughter and shenanigans taking place. I cherish every single memory we have shared and all the fun adventures we've had, from Vegas three summers in a row to weekend visits in LC country dancing and the unforgettable moments we had in Dallas. I appreciate you so much and I am thankful we have created such a beautiful friendship. I can't wait to officially be a part of your family and gain a new sister!

Anayeli Sanchez

Bridesmaid

My sissy- n-law x2! Javy really made it a point to scare me into my first time meeting you. I mean you are the older sister so it makes sense! Haha. It was a lot easier than what I was expecting and just like Nena you have always welcomed me into your family. I am grateful for that. There is never a dull moment with you and I can be sure to always be laughing about something when we're hanging out. I can't wait to be apart of your family. Thank you for your kindness you have such a big heart and Bowser (or Bow- Bow) has the best tia!

Sophie Mairena

Bridesmaid

This girl is my ride or die, literally! It's awesome that our friendship was built upon Javy & Alejandro becoming roommates back in 2014. Oh, what an unforgettable summer in Houston, TX. I'm grateful such a bond was created with her and I and also funny memories and great times. You're a real one! I've told you that before and I hope you know I appreciate that. I'm so excited for the many more yearly trips with you and Alejandro creating new adventures as Javy and I begin our journey as husband and wife.

Elizabeth Olvera

Bridesmaid

My college BFF, my person! I met this girl my first year in college. We had a math class together and bonded over our struggle in desperately needing to pass that class. We would sit in class together and help each other out with homework and exams and quickly annoyed the professor with our side conversations. It wasn't long before she became family. I met Javy shortly after we became so close and I think she knew right away that this "guy" was special because she would say, "Oh now your'e ditching me to go hang out with him". So much fun those college days and fun memories made as we were figuring out life and then she left me to begin her career as a teacher in Hobbs, NM. I'm grateful for you and our friendship because no matter the distance we always pick up right where we left off.

For all the days along the way
