Shuttle service will be provided between this hotel and our venue, Saltwater Farm Vineyard. After the wedding, the bride and groom will kick off the afterparty at the hotel bar! On Monday morning, an optional breakfast will be hosted at the hotel. We've reserved a large block of rooms at discounted rates for the wedding weekend ($184.00 Friday evening, $284.00 Saturday evening, and $184.00 on Sunday evening, plus tax). We have held plenty of different rooms and suites are available within the block for $40.00 more plus tax per night. Guests may choose different styles of rooms and can cancel up until midnight before their arrival day without penalty. Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton

If you'd like an additional option aside from the hotel block, we enjoyed the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton. We stayed at this hotel several times while visiting the area in the process of planning our wedding. It's conveniently located just 20 minutes from Saltwater Farm Vineyard by car, and less than 15 minutes from downtown Mystic. It's pretty reasonably priced and has most of the basic amenities, including an on-site restaurant, pool, and gym. Please note that shuttle service will not be provided to or from the venue, Saltwater Farm Vineyard.

The Whaler's Inn

If you'd like an additional option aside from the hotel block, we've heard wonderful things about The Whaler's Inn. In operation for over 100 years, this boutique hotel retains many historical touches while providing a variety of modern amenities. Located right in Downtown Mystic, it is perfect for anyone wanting to spend more time exploring all that this charming town has to offer. The award winning restaurant, the Shipwright's Daughter is located right on the premises and showcases cuisine made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The wedding venue is also located under 10 minutes away by car. Please note that shuttle service will not be provided to or from the venue, Saltwater Farm Vineyard.

Captain Grant's 1754

We enjoyed spending several nights at this historic five bedroom inn when we first visited the area in 2022, and highly recommend it. This property is located about a half hour from the wedding venue, so may be a better option a few days before or after the wedding for anyone wanting to spend some extra time exploring the region. Be warned, the inn is rumored to be haunted!

Flight

Bradley Int'l Airport (BDL)

Bradley International Airport in Hartford is the closest to the Mystic area. Car rental is available on site, and travel time is only about 1 1/2 hours depending on traffic. For those wanting to take the train, routine Amtrak service is provided from Amtrak Hartford located in Downtown Hartford, about a 20 minute ride from the airport.

Flight

LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F. Kennedy Int'l Airport (JFK), & Newark Liberty Int'l Airport (EWR)

The NYC area has several airports, but LaGuardia is probably the easiest for domestic flights. Car rentals are available on site at all three airports, and travel time to Mystic is between 2-3 hours, but does depend on traffic. For those wanting to take the train up to CT, it is a quick ride into the city from where Amtrak provides routine service to the Mystic area.

Boston Logan Int'l Airport (BOS)

Boston Logan International Airport provides convenient access to the Mystic area. Car rental is available on site, and travel time is about 2 hours, depending on traffic. For those wanting to take the train down to CT, routine Amtrak service is available from South Station which is only 10 minutes from the airport.

Train

Mystic Amtrak Station

Mystic Amtrak Station is located right in the heart downtown, providing convenient access to the region from NYC, Boston, or Hartford. Trains routinely leave NYC from Penn Station, Boston from South Station, and Hartford from Hartford Union Station. Travel time from NYC is generally just under 3 hours, from Boston between 1 1/2 to 3 hours, and from Hartford between 2 to 3 hours.

Cab and Rideshare Information

Ubers and Lyfts are widely available in the Mystic area until well into the evening. There are also multiple taxi companies operating in the area, however, our experience with those have been limited.
