Captain Scott's Lobster Dock

We stumbled on this cherished local joint while on a road trip out to CT. Guests may look forward to sampling a demitasse of their lobster bisque alongside the salad course at the wedding. Their lobster rolls are fantastic and Elissa is convinced the lobster bisque is the best she's ever had. We stop at Captain Scott's every time we go to CT, and we highly recommend you stop here if you're driving in from NYC.

S&P Oyster Restaurant and Bar

We had Elissa's birthday dinner here in 2022. S&P boasts New England seafood with a view of Mystic's charming drawbridge.

Oyster Club

We enjoyed a TON of oysters and steamed mussels. Their bread options, the cornbread and sourdough bread, are out of this world! Their chef is Renee Touponce, a James Beard Award Finalist for Outstanding Chef 2024, and Best Chef Northeast 2023. Renee leads the culinary team at both Oyster Club and their sister restaurant, The Port of Call.

The Shipwright's Daughter

We had an excellent dinner by recommendation of Shuji and Reggie.

The Mariner

Another recommendation from friends Shuji and Reggie. We enjoyed the lobster roll!

The Fisherman Restaurant at Long Point

We enjoyed a lovely seafood lunch, as well as waterfront views on both sides of the restaurant. They offer an excellent raw bar. There's also a lovely little public beach across the street from the restaurant.

Great place to pick up fall produce and go pumpkin picking!

Hidden Brook Acres - Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats

Snuggle with goats (no, seriously)! We went with Elissa's mom and Neel's sister in October 2023 and had a blast.

Sarge's Comics & Games

Fun comic book store with Star Wars memorabilia, board games, manga and more. Elissa picked up Spy x Family Vol. 1 per her friend Doug's recommendation (and the series is great, as promised).

Mystic Aquarium

Mystic Aquarium is a great place to spend an afternoon. Enjoy exploring both indoor and outdoor exhibits where you can discover thousands of animals including beluga whales (the ONLY one in New England!), California sea lions, African penguins, frogs, fish and more.
