We were introduced by a common friend (shoutout to Shraddha!) and met at a local Garba event in 2016. We hit it off but never really stayed in touch. It was New Year's Eve 2017 when we met again by accident and just clicked! Our first date was January 3rd and the rest as they say was history :)

*This story is best narrated in person* Our plan for the evening was to grab dinner, watch an asteroid shower and grab drinks at a bar later. However our evening started with Elisha in a bad mood which got even worse as we had to skip dinner to make it in time for the proposal. Never let Elisha skip food! Shikhar was pretty hellbent on making it to the asteroid shower much to Elisha's surprise. As they reached Lou Neff Point, there were candles everywhere. Elisha thought they had the wrong place and she was intruding on someone else's date. She almost wanted to go back. Well it was their date which ended with Shikhar on his knees and a beautiful ring in his hands. Obviously Elisha said yes and here we are celebrating our best day ever.
