(THEY/THEM) The energetic, quirky, and cheerful Bride, Elise is a talented multi-instrumentalist and lead singer to a local metal band with a love for all things music related. They hold their friends and loved ones in high regard, often putting those people before themselves. Elise will never turn down a chance to pet a dog and will actively go out of their way to do so. When not out and about normally at karaoke nights, you'll often catch them cosplaying or hogging the Dance Dance Revolution machine at the arcades. Elise was always afraid that they would never find someone to spend their life with who would want to do the same with them, but when they found Patrick, they were head over heels for him instantly and that attraction still remains today. They can't wait to have the rest of their lives together to cherish each other's heartbeats forever!
Patrick Laycox
Groom
(HE/HIM) The awkward, but goofy and warm-hearted Groom. Patrick initially came to Wisconsin from Arkansas to start a new chapter in his life, and has since flourished for himself in many ways, succeeding in his work in Peer Support and mental health. A true nerd, he's a fan of video games, photography, card games, and now, cosplaying and model kits. Marriage is something Patrick never thought he'd be able to experience until he met Elise, and they've helped bring him out of his shell to experience more of the world and do things he never thought he'd have the courage to do. Now after almost five years together, he looks forward to being able to spend forever with his favorite person in every way imaginable!
Kassidy Mauel
Maid of Honor
(SHE/HER) Kassidy has been Elise's closest friend for over twenty years, having met in the first grade and basically being the siblings each other never had. Bonding over being labelled as "nerdy outcasts" even at a young age, the two would constantly be seeing playing with Bionicles and Pokemon cards or pretending to be dinosaurs- without a care in the world and always having fun. Nowadays, she's taken up a passion for automotive sports along with her constant love of animals, including dogs, birds and especially horses. Kassidy can't wait for her childhood best friend to finally have their dream of getting married come true!
Tyler Buss
Man of Honor
(HE/HIM) Outgoing and friendly, Tyler is a man who loves to meet new people and has a variety of interests such as cosplay, horror movies, Star Wars, and Magic: The Gathering to name a few. He makes labels for work, and is usually spending time with his husband Olly, along with their dog Milo, their cat Gusgus, and their fish Ahab. Tyler has been friends with Elise for over a decade, having various crazy misadventures together at conventions and concerts, and considers them his best friend. He is also close friends with Patrick since meeting him, bonding over similar interests and knowing he can trust Patrick to help with decisions or suggestions. He adores the couple dearly and believes the future is bright for both of them!
Nico Roman
Bridesmaid
(THEY/THEM) Nico is a fellow cosplayer and longtime friend of Elise’s for over twenty years and was first introduced to Patrick when the two started dating, and they've all since become super close friends, going out to karaoke and spending time together at anime conventions. On the side, they own a small business where they sell furby-themed shirts and stickers, among other fun little things, and are also part of an Idol group as a singer and dancer. Safe to say, Nico is so excited they get to be here for the big day of two of their best friends and biggest supporters!
Olly Buss
Groomsman
(HE/HIM) Olly is a talented writer and security worker who enjoys reading, video games, drawing, and painting, while also snacking on orange chocolate. He's passionate about his favorite fandoms, which currently include Baldur's Gate/Dungeons and Dragons and anything related to Lord of the Rings. He was introduced to Elise by Tyler, whom Olly himself describes as vibrant, exuberant, talented, always doing something new, innovative, perhaps dangerous, maybe crazy, but definitely delightful. He was then introduced to Patrick, and claims that their vibe together was perfect, filled with countless loving moments. Olly hopes that the Bride and Groom will continue to be loved for as long as the universe is wide!
Meridian Travis
Bridesmaid
(THEY/THEM) A self-described lovable nerd and friend of the bride and groom for almost four years, Meridian usually spends their time doing outdoor activities and costuming, showing off their fun and colorful hair and makeup looks. They bonded with Elise over a mutual love of Dance Dance Revolution and also share an interest in photography with Patrick, usually found doing their specialty of catching lightning storm shots. Mer is honored and excited to watch two of their best friends make forever official!
Chase Boyd
Best Man
(HE/HIM) Chase and Patrick are cousins who grew up in small towns around the rice farm lands of Arkansas during their childhood, and their mutually shared boredom brought them closer throughout the years. They were both quite adventurous, often times getting into trouble mainly through the urban exploration of private properties and rundown buildings. When they weren't exploring random ruins in real life, the two usually got together virtually exploring the ruins of various cities and buildings of Fallout 3 and Fallout 76. He also enjoys telling Elise stories of his and Patrick's antics back from when they were kids. Chase is looking forward to the big day and will definitely be celebrating in the craziest ways possible!
Will Haasl
Officiant
(HE/HIM) Will has known the couple for the last six years. He and Elise met through a shared love of music that still runs deep to this day, while he and Patrick bond over the philosophical and psychological aspects of life. The three friends can often be found in deep conversation, ogling rocks and gemstones, enjoying sushi, or cheering each other on at karaoke nights and having fun the entire time. Will is delighted to be at the center of the couple's big day and is looking forward to being the one to help the bride and groom tie their futures together!
