Train
The closest train station to the venue is Malton Station, which is the quickest and most cost-effective rail route to the area. From York Station, there are regular direct trains to Malton (typically about once an hour) on the York to Scarborough line, with the journey taking around 25 minutes. Tickets can be booked online in advance or purchased at the station on the day. Services are generally operated by TransPennine Express, although occasional services may be run by other operators. Overall, this is the most convenient rail option for reaching North Yorkshire. From Malton Station, the venue is approximately a 20–25 minute taxi ride, or there are bus options available, which are outlined below.
Travel Note
Once you arrive at Malton Station, if you prefer not to take a taxi (as these can be difficult to find if not booked in advance), you can catch the 840 Coastliner bus towards Pickering from the bus station opposite the train station. This runs approximately once an hour and takes around 20–25 minutes to reach Pickering. If you have time to spare while waiting for the bus, Malton town centre is just a short walk away and offers a range of cafés and places to grab a coffee or bite to eat.

Travel Note
I’ve linked a few accommodation options below which are located in the centres of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, and Pickering. However, this is not an exhaustive list, and nor are these the only towns in the area. There are many other hotels, B&Bs, guest houses, and Airbnbs around the region, so please feel free to do your own research and choose whatever feels right for you!
