As the reception will be held on the grass, it may be wise (particularly for those wearing heels!) to bring a suitable change of footwear. Additionally, North Yorkshire's summer weather can be a little fruity, so you may wish to bring a jacket or wrap for the evening in case the temperature drops.
After the ceremony, we'll be serving a delicious afternoon tea, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Later in the evening, a meal will be available for all guests. Throughout the day, we'll enjoy speeches, cake cutting, and our first dance, before chatting and dancing the night away with family and friends. If you plan to bring a change of footwear for the reception, a box will be provided outside the church where these can be left. This will then be transported to the reception after the ceremony. Please don't feel obliged to stay until the very end - feel free to head home once your dancing shoes have had enough! We hope to organise transport to and from the venue for overseas guests staying in nearby villages, including Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, and Pickering. If you'd like to make use of this service, please let us know where you are staying when you RSVP. This will help us gauge interest and arrange transport. Further details will be shared closer to the wedding.
