This market is a must for our family every Saturday morning! The best cantaloupe, cheese, and saucisson (cured sausage–must try for non-vegetarians!!) can be found at this market!

The BEST boulangerie in the world! Highly recommend grabbing a baguette from here and other delicious pastries like Elise's personal favorite, Une tartelette de citron (if you're not celiac that is!)

This hike is a family favorite and we do it every year we come to France. It is also the mountain peak that we will be facing during the ceremony. It offers gorgeous views of the region.

Museum of the Grande Chartreuse
While you cannot visit an operating Carthusian monastery, you can visit this museum to learn about the history of Chartreuse, see examples of the rooms that the monks live in, and buy some Chartreuse from the gift shop!

Visit Lyon, France for a variety of cultural and gastronomical experiences! Lyon is the 3rd largest city in France, and has so much to explore! It is only ~1hr away by train or car from Chambéry and could be a fun day trip if you have extra time!
