National Mall
Explore Washington, D.C.'s National Mall, America's most visited national park. The long, grassy National Mall is home to iconic monuments including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. At the eastern end is the domed U.S. Capitol, and the White House is to the north. It's also flanked by Smithsonian museums, and its lawns and pathways are often crowded with school groups, joggers, and softball teams. It is also the location where Kevin first said "I love you."
Georgetown
Walk around Washington, D.C.'s Georgetown Neighborhood for some great food and atmosphere! Georgetown is a charming area with Federal-style architecture, cobblestone streets, and fashion and design shops. The dining scene is defined by upmarket restaurants and waterfront seafood spots, while nightlife spans boisterous bars, traditional taverns, and intimate live music lounges. Kevin and Elisa enjoy walking along the Georgetown Waterfront Park, so don't miss it!
Union Market
Visit Union Market to enjoy an often-overlooked gem in the District! Union Market is D.C.’s hippest feasting ground, a revived mid-century produce- and meat-selling bazaar that holds food stalls, informal restaurants and kitchenware boutiques that’d impress even Top Chef competitors. It is hop and a skip away from the H Street Corridor, Red Bear Brewery, and La Cosecha Latin Market. A favorite of Kevin, Elisa, and Bruno’s for an afternoon outing!
14th Street Corridor
Experience the culinary heart of the city, the 14th Street Corridor. Directly adjacent to the trendy Logan Circle and extending through Columbia Heights, the 14th Street Corridor is home to famed restaurants such as Le Diplomate and Ghibellina. One can easily get lost following the aromas emanating for the various eateries. Under a candle-lit dinner for two at Le Diplomate, Kevin first hinted about marriage to Elisa.
