We matched on Bumble while Silvan was visiting Lisbon and Eli had just moved to the city. Our first date was at a restaurant, sipping espresso martinis until 1 a.m., when they (very nicely) kicked us out. But we weren’t ready to call it a night, so we found a little bench by the river, looking out at the bridge, and stayed there talking and kissing until 4 in the morning. We haven’t been apart since.
We've traveled the world together, from Japan, Korea, and Thailand to the US, Norway, Italy, China and beyond. Japan holds a special place in our hearts: it’s our favorite place in the world, and the place where our love truly bloomed. That’s why all the photos on this page were taken there. Today, we call sunny Lisbon home, while Switzerland remains a constant in our lives for both family and work.
At some point, we decided to adopt Fredo and Belly, and what was already love turned into something deeper, louder, and full of purring (and a lot of hair). These days, we work from home, bounce ideas off each other, and slowly build a life that feels like us. When we’re not home, we’re probably at the beach or traveling, chasing the sun and enjoying this sweet chapter.
We got engaged in Switzerland, where Silvan got down on one knee in the snow and we made official what we already knew: there’s no one better for each other, and we want to be witnesses to each other’s lives, forever. Now we’re getting ready for the next chapter: celebrating our love with the people who matter most. We’re planning a day full of joy, good food, hugs, dancing, and everything that feels like us, and we really hope you’ll be there to share it with us.
