Jorge Chavez International Airport - Lima
This is Peru's main international airport in Lima. Many tourists visit this airport from around the world. Most airport workers speak English and will be able to help. When looking for flights, please book a round trip to Lima. Afterwards, you will book smaller flights to Tacna (closest airport to Ilo) and to Cusco (if you're planning to see Machu Picchu). Please see the FAQ tab for a Google Forms link that will help you decide which flights to book.

The closes airport to Ilo. Tacna is about a two hour drive to Ilo through the desert. We will arrange a shuttle service for you from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th. In the Google Forms questionnaire, please specify what time you expect to land in Tacna so we can pick you up.

There are only 5 flights from Lima to Tacna per day. We will be providing a shuttle service from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th at 12:30pm. If you happened to arrive on another of the 5 flights, please let us know and we will organize pickup.

For everyone going to Cusco, we will be departing from this airport in Arequipa. Arequipa is a four hour bus ride from Ilo. We will be providing shuttles from Ilo to Arequipa on Monday 16th. Please let us know if you are coming to Cusco so we can save a spot for you on the shuttle.
