Our Story

On April 22, 2023, we met at homeschool prom — both showing up with completely different friend groups. God wrote the beginning of our story before either of us had any clue what was happening. Her Perspective: I was enjoying dancing with my group of friends when all of a sudden a mystery man showed up and pulled me out to the dance floor and said: Let's dance! We danced to the song "Driver's License", and then the tall, handsome stranger disappeared as mysteriously as he had showed up. My friend Avery told me his name was Caleb Fleitz and showed me his Instagram. I told my parents about him that night and when my dad said he knew and liked his family, I took that as my green light! Four days later I nervously followed him on Instagram— and his first DM was: “How’d you get my insta?” …confidently followed by: “So, when are we getting dinner?” On May 3, 2023, we had our first date at Texas Roadhouse and Dairy Queen. We realized we lived two minutes apart, and after a loooong series of questions Caleb had for me, I was wondering if I was passing his test. 🤞 I was excited to learn that we had more in common than anyone else I had ever met! Four months later, we shared our first kiss on a rooftop in downtown Buford as the train was going by— smoothest and sweetest kiss of my life. ☺️ Long distance, Sweden, letters, Christmas Eve “I love you”… it all continued to grow our relationship until Caleb finally asked me to be his girlfriend in January. In July, on a family beach trip listening to the song “Forever to Me”, I knew Caleb was the one. May 29th, 2025, Caleb proposed to me in the rain, the happiest, most perfect surprise day of my life. It is so evident how the Lord has put us together, and I cannot wait to make so many more sweet memories with my forever love. His Perspective: I showed up late to prom that night with the guys honestly not expecting much. A slow song came on — I walked up to a pretty girl with blonde hair and a red dress — tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to dance. I wasn’t able to catch her name over the music, and I regretted not asking for her number the rest of the night. Luckily for me she followed me on Instagram a few days later and I DM’d her almost immediately. First date was Texas Roadhouse and Dairy Queen. Over the next months — every time she came home from college — every moment confirmed what I now know with complete certainty: she was special. She was the one I prayed for. Under the stars Labor Day weekend — when we had our first kiss next to the train — everything shifted. Christmas Eve when we both said “I love you” for the first time through our letters — that sealed it. July 2024 I knew I wanted to marry her. May 29th, 2025 I went down on one knee in the rain — and I haven’t stopped smiling since. Over every season and every mile of distance — she consistently showed me she was the woman I'd prayed for long before. She is the biggest blessing God has given me, and I'm counting down until July 25th, 2026 when I get to marry the love of my life.
