There will be an informal gathering around 8 pm on Friday September 22nd on the deck area between the Monarch Ocean Pub and Il Fornaio in the Del Mar Plaza, which is a short drive from Estancia. *** Fridays in Del Mar can be busy as it is a vacation town, so we suggest making reservations for a Friday dinner well in advance*** Monarch Ocean Pub has a full kitchen, however, there are also a number of wonderful restaurants nearby if you would like a pre-gathering dinner! Below are a few suggestions: Jake’s Del Mar - Dine a few steps away from the waves at this classic Californian-style restaurant. Poseidon Restaurant - Poseidon also features indoor and outdoor dining right next to the sand with a seafood-focused menu in a casual setting. Sbicca - Fresh, delicious Californian menu created with locally-sourced ingredients served in a quaint restaurant with a rooftop terrace. If you do not plan on taking the transportation provided, please plan to arrive a few minutes early as the ceremony will start promptly at 1pm!
Cocktail attire is suggested, such as a long dress or dressy cocktail-length dress or separates for women and a suit and tie for men. The cocktail hour will be held outside and we will be holding the reception in the ballroom.
The wedding party will be staying at Estancia La Jolla. While the room block at Estancia has filled completely, additional rooms are available at market rate.

Yes! The church has a parking lot. There is valet parking at the reception.
There will be transportation to the ceremony at St Therese of Carmel picking up from the roundabout outside the lobby of Estancia La Jolla. The shuttles will depart at 12 PM and 12:30 PM. We kindly ask for guests to arrive on time to the church as the ceremony will start promptly at 1 PM.
