We recommend flying into Queretaro International Airport (QRO), which is the closest airport.
From there, it is a 1-1.5 hour road trip to get to San Miguel de Allende, depending on traffic. We suggest arranging a private transportation service from the airport to San Miguel instead of renting a car. San Miguel has limited parking availability and everything is within walking distance in the town.
You also have the option of flying into Leon, Guanajuato (BJX, 1.5-2 hours away) or Mexico City (MEX, 4 hours away). For transportation services we recommend contacting BajioGo, where you can arrange a shared or private shuttle.
