Things To Do in CA

Unfortunately, there is no coastline in Redding. There are however, several wonderful restaurants, an exploratory nature and history museum, hikes, and bodies of water to explore! If you must have an ocean visit to honestly say you've been to California, it is about three hours each way drive, a decent day trip.

From the Hearth Cafe - Red Bluff

638 Washington Street, Red Bluff, CA 96080
, (530) 727-0616

Easily some of the best food in the Northstate! The fries are to die for, and we hit it up several times each time Dawson visits Red Bluff. There are also three Redding locations!

Dutch Bros Coffee

2221 Churn Creek Road, Redding, CA 96002
, (541) 955-4700

California Classic! Drive Thru coffee. Pro note: the "broistas" are ALWAYS happy and if you are a grumpy morning person, prepare yourself.

Turtle Bay Exploration Park

844 Sundial Bridge Drive, Redding, CA 96003
, (530) 243-8850

A hands on and ever changing museum. Also has walking trails, gardens and walk on access to the Sundial Bridge across the Sacramento River.

Kahunas Mongolian BBQ and Sushi

1800 Churn Creek Road, Redding, CA 96002
, (530) 255-8829

A favorite of us both! Mongolian BBQ, with sushi options
