We are thrilled that we are one step closer to finally celebrating our wedding with you and we want nothing more than to create a space where everyone is able to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. Alongside the safety measures our venue has put in place, we request that all guests confirm they have a negative covid test within 72 hours of the celebration. To make sure we don’t have wedding crashers (it’s a brewery after all!), the attendant at the door will check names of people entering against a Guest List. We will be asking the venue to also have the attendant ask our guests if they have tested prior to entry. In addition to the testing, we ask that you kindly keep the following in mind: -Chicago travel guidelines: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid-19/home/emergency-travel-order.html -Stay home if you are feeling unwell and/or have any Covid symptoms. We will understand and hope you feel better soon! -Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer liberally. If there are any changes to the above (i.e. changes in local ordinances), we will do our best to provide updates as soon as possible. Thank you for helping us to have the safest celebration we can. It is of the utmost importance to us that all are safe and healthy. We met at a mutual friend's Fancy Christmas Sweater Party. Rather than wear "ugly sweaters", we were asked to dress nicely and bring a white elephant gift. I wore a sweater dress and boots with the intent to just have a good time and I had pretty much decided to give up on dating for a while. When I got to the party and scanned the room, I saw Kevin in a three piece suit...My plan for the night quickly changed. Kevin and I introduced ourselves and spent most of the night talking to each other, mostly about Game of Thrones - shocking, right? As luck would have it, I ended up with his white elephant gift (a gift card I never actually used). At the end of the party, we walked in the same direction, and before we split, he asked for my number and he gave me his. Almost a week later, I decided to break the silence. I texted him. He called back. We set up our first date for New Years Day 2016. Fast foward to us planning our wedding!
