Lincoln Memorial

Did you know the Lincoln Memorial’s sculptor also made sculptures for Gallaudet University? Gallaudet University is the national university of the Deaf, where Eleni got her Master’s!

Union Market

Eleni and Austin went on lots of dates here, as it’s right next to Gallaudet University. There are lots of great restaurants there! Cucina Al Volo & District Donut are favorites!

Smithsonian's National Postal Museum

Austin took Eleni on a date here early in their relationship. Austin is a big fan of the Postal Museum and wanted to have it for the wedding venue! Eleni said it was much too complicated.

Georgetown

This was one of Eleni & Austin’s favorite places for shopping and dining when Eleni was at Gallaudet!

Tyson's II Galleria

Looking for luxury shopping? This is the place to go. Eleni and Austin spent lots of time walking around and window shopping. It always makes Eleni think of her Thitsa Annie, because of the large Gucci store inside. Take the metro there!

Mount Vernon

This is a favorite of Mrs. Thomas! Austin and Eleni went to a wine festival there and had an awesome time. It’s a bit far out of the District, but is a cool part of American history.

Arlington National Cemetery

It’s a perfect time of year to visit Arlington National Cemetery. The weather is temperate. It is a beautiful, solemn place to visit
