After matching on Bumble during the thick of the pandemic, we had our first date at Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard in Charlottesville, VA. Neither of us expected much to come of it, but we ended up closing down the joint after a 4 hour chat-sesh. We have had many ice cream dates since, and plan on many more!

After a random weeknight cooking dinner together and watching The Good Wife, Elena commented on how we hadn't been on a date in a while. Luckily, that played directly into Kagan's plans. He suggested dinner that Friday at the Local, a special spot for Kagan and Elena. Kagan went to Elena's place after work, bringing Kohr's milkshakes for an after-dinner treat since he "happened to be driving by." He sat anxiously as she finished getting ready, and when she came out of her room, he was ready with an extra special treat that Kohr's had - an engagement ring! She said YES!!! After popping some bubbly and calling our families, we celebrated at dinner with Elena's parents, followed by an after-party with our friends in town. We can't wait to celebrate with the rest of our loved ones come Fall 2024!
