We will be organizing a bus on Friday evening to take people from Bogotá to your housing accommodations in Tabio, between your houses and the venue, and back to Bogotá on Sunday.
The dress code is formal but not black-tie. We recommend that you avoid pointy heels, as the venue has cobblestone and activities will take place on the lawn.
Although Colombia is in the tropics, Bogotá and Tabio are above 2,500 m (8,000 ft.) so the temperatures are often ~18 ºC (~65 ºF) during the day and ~10 ºC (~50 ºF) at night. Be sure to bring a jacket of some sort and long pants! Also, please consider these temperatures when planning your wedding day attire.
Hayden and Elena both use iMessage and WhatsApp, which work for messaging when connected to WiFi, whether or not you pay for a service plan. However, we recommend downloading WhatsApp if you don't have it, as this is the most common messaging app in Colombia and it will allow for messaging with groups who don't have iPhones. If you want a phone plan during your stay, you can either set that up with your phone provider before leaving the US (more expensive) or get a SIM card for your stay.
If you're coming from the US, no you don't.
If you are bringing a suit/dress with you and it is not within your bag, garment bags count as a personal item/carry on (typically). However, when you first get onto a plane, you can ask the flight attendants to hang your bag in their closet. Just be sure to not forget to grab it on the way out!
Reach out to Hayden (805-345-5895) or Elena (814-441-2750) and we'll try to help you out!
