Question
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Answer
For your convenience, a block of rooms has been reserved at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. Reserve your room by emailing sac9.op8@barcelo.com, please mention the Vasquez/Lopes Wedding in order to receive a discounted rate. Be sure to book your hotel room as soon as possible as hotel rates change. Check-in time is at 3:00pm and check out is at noon. Guests can continue to enjoy some of the hotel facilities after check-out.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?
Answer
To arrange your transfer service, please send the hotel the full flight details (arrival and departure) at least 72 hours prior to your stay to receptivo1.rd@vacacionesbarcelo.com. Book a minimum four-night stay and we’ll include your transfer to and from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) and the hotel. The service is provided as shared transport between 8.00 and 23.00 (local time in the DR). All arrival and departure transfers outside these times will be considered as a private transfer (and subject to an additional charge). Bookings for a stay of 3 nights or less are NOT eligible for the free transfer. You can book the transfer, which is subject to a charge, during the booking process. Bookings with flights arriving at other airports are NOT eligible for the free transfer. Transfer services to and from the other airports in the Dominican Republic may be reserved during the booking process at an additional charge.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Answer
Yes, you can post pictures on your social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #elenaandbrandon2022 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?
Answer
There is an open bar at the reception and a Dominican Buffet with many options. Please inform us of any food allergies ahead of time.

What should I do if I can’t make it?
Answer
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will be on the beach. The reception will be in an enclosed area.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

The highest weather in May is 87 degrees and the lowest is 74 degrees.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Answer
Please wear whatever makes you smile in the warm weather and on the beach. Our wedding color is navy blue, but feel free to wear semi formal beach attire :)

We do not have a registry. Please do not feel obligated to buy us a gift. Our biggest gift is to have you share this special moment with us!

Where can I get covid tested?
Answer
The resort provides covid testing in collaboration with IMG Hospital. Rapid covid tests are $20 (US Dollars) and you receive instant results. PCR tests cost $90 (US dollars). Results will be received in 24 to 36 hours. You can make your appointment when you arrive at the hotel in the El salón de eventos “Ibiza 4”, located in the main building of Barceló Bávaro Palace. Tests are available Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

What is the electronic ticket?
Answer
It is a digital form required by multiple institutions for entering or leaving the national territory. Physical forms will not be accepted. It is mandatory for each passenger to truthfully complete the information on the electronic Ticket for the General Immigration Office, the General Customs Office and the Ministry of Public Health, according to dominican laws 285-04, 115-17, 72-02 and 226-06. https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/
