Question

July 13: What's for dinner?

Answer

After the wedding ceremony the food will be a delicious dinner served by the local Mogrog Food Truck (https://www.mogrog.com/). A general theme on food, chef Alex Tolger is sourcing our meats with ranchers he knows locally —chicken will be coming from Sierra Nevada Poultry and lamb will be coming from Harvey Farms. Veggies, mushrooms and fruits will be sourced through our farmers market connections and Tahoe Food Hub. There will be more on the story of where the food comes from and why we have chosen the local producers and ethical land and animal stewards that we have. Alright enough of that, on to the food: summer greens Salad (v), Preserved Citrus Vinaigrette/ Early Season Tomatoes(cherry/pear?)/ Roasted Pepitas/ Shepherds Cheese, Roasted Sweet Potatoes (V), Trio of Sweet Potato/ Paprika Honey Glaze, Smoked Farro Grain Salad (V), Smoked Farro/ Oyster Mushroom/ Fennel/ Cauliflower, Gai Lan Broccoli/ Vegan XO Sauce (V), Lemon Paprika Rotisserie Chicken, Red Wine Herb Rotisserie Lamb, Seasonal Fruit Spritzer. The beer served will be Range of Light: 6.4% Evergreen Juicy IPA from The Good Wolf Brewery (http://www.thegoodwolfbrewing.com/beers.html) and another selection of wines from The Pour House in Truckee, CA (http://www.thepourhousetruckee.com/) in addition to a champagne toast.

Question

What's in the bottle?

Answer

For our salt-of-the-earth guests: The bottle is from Spain, perfect to reuse for your little treasures. The sticker is completely plastic-free! From EcoEnclose, a mission to make ecommerce a force for positive change, by offering the world's most eco-friendly packaging. The salt is Red Alaea salt from the Hawaiian Islands: "Its mesmerizing color, bold flavor, and signature taste profile make it a favorite of countless chefs around the world." Known to contain 80 different naturally occurring minerals. We picked this up from Mountain Rose Herbals, a rad place for herbs, oils, and much more.
