At 15, Adelaide already shines with a mix of humor, creativity, and heart that fills every room she walks into. Artistic and funny, she’s the kind of person who can turn a quiet afternoon into laughter capturing her brother's antics on video or transform a blank canvas into something magical. Whether she’s at the gym, on the lacrosse field, curled up watching BoJack Horseman, or perfecting her latest art project (ask her about her papaya or jaguar paintings or her goddess stippling project—she’ll light up), Adelaide’s energy is genuine and full of warmth. She’s proud to be my Maid of Honor—mostly, she says, because she loves dressing up and giving her speech to us. Her perspective on love is beautifully poetic: “It’s like when the sun explodes—you just feel it.” To her, our wedding feels “amazing,” like the end of a Disney movie where the princess finds her true love. When she’s not sketching or listening to her favorite artist, Laufey, you’ll find her laughing with her friends, dreaming of brunches and Christmas movies, building Harry Potter Lego sets or planning her next trip to Italy. Adelaide’s caring spirit, sense of humor, and creative soul remind us daily what love and family truly mean.

Best Man
At 14, Declan brings the perfect mix of humor, heart, and confidence to everything he does. Fun, funny, and encouraging, he’s the kind of person who instantly lifts the energy in any room—usually with a joke, a dance move, or a story that makes everyone laugh. His weekends are best spent with friends playing basketball, football, or video games, and his soundtrack of choice is “There It Is” by Big Frank (which he swears will get him on the dance floor at the wedding). Declan’s proudest role? Being able to say, “That’s my mom—I’m her son,” while standing beside us as Best Man. He’s most excited to watch the emotional moments unfold—especially, as he predicts, when both of us tear up. In his words, we’re “not the average couple… we’re iridescent,” which might just be the highest compliment a mom could ask for. He describes love as “a strong emotional attachment,” but it’s easy to see he already lives it daily—through his loyalty, his laughter, and his big-hearted way of showing up for the people he loves. Whether he’s dancing, cracking jokes, or chasing roller coasters on his dream day, Declan reminds everyone that life—and love—are best lived with maximum effort and a lot of joy.
