Jordan and I took some of our engagement pictures here. We also have fished, ran, and picnicked here many times! It's a beautiful little lake and worth taking a walk around especially since it's only about 10 minutes from the wedding venue.
This is a favorite happy hour place for me and Jordan! It's also a Pittsburgh staple. There are Priminatis all over Pittsburgh, but this one is closest to the wedding venue.
The Meadows is a great casino but you can also go there to catch a horse race, eat dinner at Bistecca, or go bowling! Surrounding the casino there are also good restaurants like Palazzo 1837 Ristorante or Primantis and Tanger Outlets is just down the street.
If you're looking to get into the Halloween spirit, definitely check this place out! This haunted house is about 10 minutes from the wedding venue and I can verify it's REALLY scary. We don't recommend taking kids here unless you're okay with them having nightmares forever.
Jordan and I have been going to Kennywood since before we can remember. At this time of year, they decorate the amusement park for Halloween and have haunted houses for you to walk through! It's very scary and a lot of fun.
This is where Jordan proposed! It's a beautiful museum and is also connected to the Natural History museum. Great for kids!
Going to Schenley Park is a great time! You could have a picnic, play football or frisbee, or just walk around the huge grassy park! It's also very close to Phipps Conservatory and Oakland and there are views of downtown and the Cathedral of Learning when the weather is nice.
This museum is dedicated to it's namesake, Andy Warhol, a Pittsburgh native. It's a great place to visit if you're a fan of modern art and it's right in the North Shore which is home to many restaurants and Pittsburgh's sports arenas.
Jordan and I love to spend an afternoon walking around the Strip District. There are great restaurants, bars, and interesting shops to look at! We recommend stoping by Wholey's for a fish sandwich, heading to Wigle Whiskey for a drink, stoping by R Winery for a wine tasting, then heading to Peace Love and Little Donuts or Mon Amiee Chocolat for dessert!
This is a great stop to take a picture overlooking all of Pittsburgh! Jordan and I have done this many times and the view never seems to get old. If you're feeling extra adventurous, take the incline up to the top of Mount Washington. There are some nice restaurants with a view at the top as well!
East Carson Street runs the whole length of the South Side and has the most bars and restaurants in Pittsburgh! There are shops all along the street, a movie theater, and even the original Primantis. You can't go wrong with any restaurant you stop at but we recommend The Library for late night food and drink specials and The Milkshake Factory if you have a sweet tooth!
Jordan loves this place! It's a great work out and a lot of fun for any age. It's located right off East Carson Street in South Side so there are a ton of great bars, restaurants, and shops to go to either before or after rock climbing.
