This is Cincinnati’s big claim to fame! Lots of eateries and great breweries, plenty of places to watch a performance (we have been known to frequent The Know and the CSO).
We’ve been to lots of places in OTR and this is our current favorite. Hands down the BEST biscuits you will ever have. They serve a hefty brunch so come hungry!
Our picks for this neighborhood: Dewey’s Pizza Aglamesis Bros O-Pie-O Bonbonnerie
We have a particular love of brunch food and the Sleepy Bee is easily one of our most frequented spots (and not just in Oakley). They have incredibly soft pancakes and tasty breakfast sandwiches along with some healthy options. You also have to try a Cincinnati staple while you’re there—goetta! This spot also happens to be where Jonathon met his future in-laws for the very first time.
Our picks: Cincinnati Art Museum Krohn Conservatory
Museum dates have been a rather large part of our relationship thus far. This museum is free, however special exhibitions are ticketed (and they are worth it!).
Our picks: Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Mt. Adams Bar and Grill
A real, prohibition-era speakeasy! Easily the best place to get a drink in Mt. Adams. It’s hidden, it’s cozy, and there’s outdoor seating (don’t worry about the fall weather. They have a sizable fire outside).
Graeter’s Ice Cream (get something with chocolate chips, at least!) Skyline Chili...if you must (Three words: funnel. cake. fries.)
