Question
How to get to the ranch if we are flying in?
Answer
The ranch is about a 45-minute drive from Asheville, and we recommend renting a car. If you prefer not to rent a car, please reach out and we can try to connect you with someone else flying in around the same time. Uber is another option; however, due to the steep road leading up to the ranch, Ubers will not drive all the way up. If you coordinate with us and take an Uber to Maggie Valley, we can arrange for someone to meet you there and bring you to the ranch. Please note this pickup option is available between 9:30 AM and 10:00 PM only.”

What about lodging?
Answer
We are renting out Cataloochee Ranch from Friday, October 2nd through Sunday morning, October 4th. Guests may check in as early as 3:00 PM on Friday, and checkout will be at 11:00 AM on Sunday. We will cover all accommodations for guests who RSVP by the deadline. Dinner will be provided on Friday evening, all meals on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday before departure.

Unfortunately, because we are providing accommodations, we have limited space and are unable to accommodate additional guests.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
We’re hosting a welcome dinner the evening before the wedding. On the wedding day, breakfast and lunch will be provided for all guests, followed by dinner at the reception. Before departure, join us for a goodbye breakfast the morning after the wedding.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Welcome Party: The dress code is upscale casual with a western touch—stylish yet comfortable. Jeans and sneakers are welcome! If you don’t have western clothing, no need to worry—just come ready to celebrate. Wedding: We kindly ask guests to wear semi-formal attire, such as cocktail-length dresses, dressy separates, or a suit and tie. Think of it as one step above what you'd wear to church. We recommend bringing a jacket. Please note that blue jeans and sneakers are not permitted at the ceremony venue.

Are there any colors we should avoid?

In keeping with our wedding colors, we respectfully ask that guests avoid wearing white or sage green attire.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will take place outdoors, weather permitting, with the reception to follow indoors.

All of the events will take place at Cataloochee Ranch.

The closest airport is the Asheville Airport.

What if we can’t arrive until Saturday?
Answer
When formal invitations are sent, you’ll be able to RSVP separately for the welcome party and the wedding so we know which events you’ll be attending. We completely understand that not everyone will be able to arrive on Friday, and we would still love for you to join us for the wedding on Saturday!

Will alcohol be provided?
Answer
Yes! Drinks will be available during the welcome dinner and the reception. Please note that the ranch does not allow outside alcohol to be brought in.
