We love Saturday mornings visiting a farmers market - River Market region is no exception! This area not only boasts a wonderful farmers market, but also plays host to fun antique shops and a multitude of restaurants! *On the street car route!
West Bottoms
Vintage and antique stores, galleries, restaurants and bars! This warehouse district previously a crucial bootlegging neighborhood in the 1920s is on the rise as the warehouses are converted into exciting new establishments!
Crossroads District
A neighborhood full of art, bars, speakeasies, cafes, and restaurants! We love the Crossroads!
Crown Center
Great for the family! Explore the SEA LIFE Kansas City Aquarium, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, the Hallmark Visitors Center, or Kaleidoscope, where kids (and their families) can create amazing art. Also home to the Coterie Theater and fun family-friendly restaurants, this area has a host of offerings for all to enjoy!
National WWI Museum and Memorial
One of the best vistas to see the KC skyline! Check out the WWI museum and galleries - an incredible walk through history! *Fun fact: Jeremy almost proposed here, but the windchill was -25 that day!
Union Station Kansas City
Other than the venue for the 2023 NFL draft, Union Station also serves as host to restaurants, shops, traveling exhibits, Science City, and lots of fun family attractions! Current Exhibition: Science of Guinness World Records!
The Nelson-Atkins Museum
A great place to get lost for the day! Art exhibits that range from classical to contemporary - we love wandering around the exhibits or through the garden and playing a round of mini golf on the "Art Course"!
Country Club Plaza
It was designed in 1922 as the nation's first suburban shopping district (inspired by KC's "sister city" of Seville, Spain). Since then, it's open-air public art gallery has continuously added to its collection, with fountains, sculptures and murals that bring the very best of the Old World and the New. As a welcome to autumn, The Plaza plays host to the annual Art Fair, where streets are closed to allow hundreds of artists from all over the world showcase their pieces - it's Ekta's favorite KC weekend of the year!
