What deadlines should I be aware of?

- A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of $200/adult or child is required by March 25th, 2022 for the group rate. We have limited rooms and seats reserved so please confirm early! - Final payment is due on or before July 1st, 2022 The group rate is available for 40 guests on a first-come, first-served basis, so please book your room ASAP if you haven't done so.

What is included in my stay?

Just about everything! Round Trip Airport Transportation Food: All meals, snacks, and beverages including alcohol. There are 11 restaurants, 1 dessert/coffee bar, 12 bars, and 24 hour room service. Most Activities: Shows, Live Music, Gym, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Spanish Classes, and Yoga to name a few. What about Covid? What restrictions do I need to be aware of?

First and foremost, we know it's a lot to ask our family and friends to travel with or without a pandemic. We completely understand any and all concerns and want to emphasize this is a "no pressure" type of situation! Being fully vaccinated, we plan to move forward with getting married at this time. While at the resort, you are not required to wear a mask, but the staff will be taking precautions. Currently, the Canadian government requires all international travelers to present proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of their flight home. The Finest Resort provides PCR and Antigen testing services that you must schedule with the concierge during your stay. Testing is done on-site from 9am-12pm and costs $90 USD/ PCR test and $35 USD/ Antigen test. In the event you test positive, the hotel offers a complimentary stay, at no additional cost, for a max of 14 days. Please contact our Travel Agent for more info. Do I have to stay at the Finest Resort?

All wedding festivities will be on the property. Guests must stay at the resort to attend the ceremony and reception. The hotel may make an exception and provide a limited number of day passes for those who can only come for the day. Please contact our Travel Agent for more information. Any specific items to pack?

Answer

A LOT of sunscreen, smaller USD bills for frequent tipping, bug spray, and nice outfit selections. The resort has a strict dress code that men especially have to prepare for. Most restaurants in the evening require "Casual Elegance", described as: - For ladies: Long pants, capri pants, or skirt with a blouse, or a dress - For gentlemen: Long dress pants and collared shirt. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, beach sandals, and flip flops are not allowed. Guys: think chinos, linen pants, khakis, short-sleeve button downs, polos, fashion sneakers, loafers, etc. The hotel website lists the requirements for each restaurant and bar under the Flavors & Spirits tab.

Both the Ceremony & Reception will be outdoors. We want to enjoy as much of the Cancun breeze as we can!

Weather in Cancun in November starts to mellow out, making November one of the best months of the year to visit. You can expect endless sunshine and a cool breeze between 21- 29 degrees C daily.

How many days should I stay at the resort?

Feel free to join us for however many days you'd like! The wedding itself is on November 23rd, 2022. We will be there from November 20 – 27th.

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, beach chic formal. Gentlemen - It's going to be warm, so no need to wear a suit! Nice, short-sleeved shirts such as linen button downs or polos are the perfect option with linen pants, slacks or khakis (think Chinos). While a jacket isn't required, a breathable sport coat or unique blazer is a great addition or even a summer suit (i.e. linen, khaki, seersucker, etc.). Feel free to include prints to elevate your casual look, but avoid shorts, denim, sandals or sneakers. Ladies: Opt for a breezy dress, jumpsuit, or high quality romper. Quality linen or elegant capris with a dressy top would work as well!
